    Low Pessure Gas

Can anyone say whether there is (a) a drop in power and (b) a drop in fuel economy? I get around 40-45mpg (currently commuting 140miles/day = approx £70/week on fuel). Want to know if this is a viable alternative... Cheers Rich

Mmm, I'm interested as well - there aren't many of us with CVTs...

    Fuel saver? Or a con?

what a massive load of crap - the whole concept is cobblers! They did a test on Mythbusters 2 days ago of all sorts of fuel efficiency devices (some claiming 300mpg!) - including the magnetic fuel-line thing - and none of them made any difference. The only way they came up with to make...

    heeeeeeeelllpppp

If it's a Kenwood HU, it might have speaker short-circuit protection. Mine had and got me confused for a bit. If the speaker lines are shorted, the thing shuts off and needs a reset before it will come on again. To reset, on mine (KDC6531), you insert a paper clip or something into the...

    Barrel/Key/Nats Help!

er, resistance (of pretty much anything) changed with environmental factors like temperature, crud on the contact etc. Don't think this would be a clever way of doing it... It might be RFID, but my car's 1998 and it was reasonably fancy technology back then. Mind you, I was designing things...

    Whats your mileage?

Do any of these high milers have a CVT gearbox? I've always suspected that will die (and therefore the car will die, as I ain't getting a new one :upside: ) before the engine...

Mine was about £8 or so from Halfrauds.

    Removing the fuel filter

Cheers for the advice, everyone. I hadn't thought of cutting it off! The lines are quite tight (it's a bit difficult to manouevre and get access to the jubilee screws at the moment), so I'll try and not cut it off - at least I know it's been a pain for other people and I'm not just doing...

    Removing the fuel filter

I was trying to get the fuel filter off in my K11 yesterday and not having much luck. Simple enough job - undo the jubilee clips and pull. But she ain't comin! Any hints/tips or do I just go back and apply brute force until the fuel line splits and I swear a lot :upside: (or the filter...

    TV screen

I put a 7" widescreen TFT monitor in my K11 for a car pc recently - there's a pic in the thread (http://www.micra.org.uk/t8337-in-car-pc.html). It wasn't that much work, but it obviously does modify the car a bit. I'm not concerned about resale value or anything like that as I intend to...

    In Car PC

Ed - native resolution is quoted at 800x480, but I've seen lots of technical discussions which says it's actually 848x480. I'm using a VIA EPIA M10000 to drive it all - it has on board video and it's very difficult (maybe impossible) to get 800x480 (I've been playing around with...

    In Car PC

Not generally what you'd expect in a Micra, but I've finally fitted my in car PC. :grinning: It's got a 7" lilliput touch screen mounted where the stereo used to go (I modified the centre console to fit it in), and the PC is mounted under the drivers seat. It's got USB in the glove box...

    Car Audio Equipment Insurance

Can anyone recommend a company that offers insurance purely for car audio equipment? The value of mine's going up, and if anyone nicks the car, I'd at least like to get the audio stuff back for the next car!! Cheers

    Consult cable

Not absoultely sure, but I thought K12's used OBD-II. In which case, have a look around for an OBD2 decoder chip (e.g. ELM232) or an interface module. It would be good if someone else could confirm this... Also, have a check through the forum for info on K12 ECU interfaces.
