I know exactly what you mean I have spent way over 2k on my micra and have just had to pay for a new starter motor, as it's decided to pack in! So far ive had to have new injectors, egr valve, alternator, starter motor the list goes on! I got my alternator for £120 plus £50 fitting.

Did you ever find what the problem was?
