As 1275 says that'll be because your master cylinder is sized to have the assistance and you would be fine with a proper non-servo master cylinder.
The problem with that remote servo is that it's for a single line system - which means more complication if you want to install it on a dual line...
Tax exempt? I know they've started rolling it again (maybe) but there's a while before 1992 cars become exempt.
Keeping the servo on a Mini is just a waste of effort and un-necessary complication. Bog standard Mini disc brakes from '85 ish on are not heavy and will lock the front wheels even...
My Micra came with two different styles of driveshaft inner end. One was the "normal" tripod style joint whilst the other was a ball and cage joint more like the CV. I want to replace the passenger side shaft with the tripod style - anyone know what manufacturers/suppliers sell the tripod ones...
Anyone got any technical details on the signal for the electronic speedo on a '98 K11?
I'm trying to find out just what the sender puts out. I'm assuming a regular pulse (road speed dependant) but I'd like to know the amplitude and to find out how many pulses per mile it generates if anyone...
**** Strawbridge and Jem Stansfield made an air powered motorbike for a TV programme. It used two fireman's BA tanks for the air supply.
Electric RC planes are becoming more popular due to the increasing restrictions on IC ones. That's driving development in motors and batteries (plus the...

As it happens it's a TD05 that it's driving the compressor half of (geared to spin it at the right speed).
And the battery pack - none if this lead-acid malarkey or weight...
Thread resurrection but..... The principle is sound although the ebay ones are snake-oil.
There is a guy in the MX5 owners club who has done it successfully. He has hacked a turbo apart and drives the compressor with a motor from a model aircraft (several horsepower). Quite correctly the car's...
More bits of Micra I don't need. Located in Darwen - collection only but if you come and take them away they are yours.
PM me for contact details.

Right - had another go last night with the wiring diagram in my grubby mitten and presto! it works. Engine runs fine and all lights behaving themselves.
Thanks for the assistance folks.
Found it. Page 265 on Electrical-1.pdf.
Easy when you know where to look. I'll have another go at it tomorrow night and see if I can get it all working as it should.

The plot thickens. I've got it running but the immobiliser LED and MIL are now playing silly buggers - not completely necessary for my application but it suggests something is still not quite right and it would be nice to sort them properly.
As mentioned there are 6 wires on the immu. They are...
I've had a dig and Baguete did post a thread where he seemed to be after similar info as he wanted to transfer a later engine with it's NATS ECU and associated bits into an earlier Micra. He didn't seem to get an answer in the thread so I've sent him a PM to see i he ever got the info or if he...

That'll do the job and work fine from a normal domestic power supply. It will come with a regulator for the small hobby gas cylinders. To use a "proper" cylinder you will need a different regulator and an adapter to go from the...
