Fair enough, theirs does seem to be in better condition outside. But mine does drive short, and indeed, longer distances too though...:blush: Been back to Glasgow twice in it since I moved to Bristol and never any problems; gearbox is a bit noisy though, can't deny that.

Has anyone got 'Chase' branded discs/pads on their car? It's just that they seem to be pretty cheap on eBay ( £30 delivered, front discs AND pads) but it's not summat I want to skimp on if there's better for the same sort of money as you don't get much more safety-critical than brakes! Any...

Yeah it's a super s. It's still driveable but I think it might be a Cat D write-off. If the insurance company'll pay-out then sell me it back then I'll definitely do that as it'd be worth it, the motors pretty strong and I'll use it 'til something too dear to fix happens! Fitted hatch today...
