I've ordered a set of these struts but instead of lowering the perch to drop it from 50mm to 80mm I'm thinking I'd be as well just getting -30mm lowering springs for the matiz struts and getting the 80mm drop that way, saves a lot of hassle rather than cutting and having to rewelding the perch...

It wae the correct ones ordered but may be a bad batch or something. I'm sending them back and just ordered new control arms now. Saves all the messing about then. Thanks for the reply

As title suggests has anyone replaced these? I've ordered some febest ones and they have a metal sleeve on them which makes this the same diameter as the control arm and thus it won't fit. Would using a flap wheel suffice to bore out the control arm slightly to make the new bushing fit? Thanks...

Indeed it is. Just recognised the car after I realised you'd suggested same places and parts. Worst case I'll need to fork out for the new arms and another mot fee ?..

Tried to remove the remaining part of the trailing arms on my replacement axle but the bolts where seized on to the inner sleeve so had to cut the bolt off with the grinder. I'm expecting to have to do the same when removing the old axle and want to 1) Know where I can get replacement bolts? 2)...

I've no idea what's best tbh. There's people on the forum running various set ups so they'd be best to ask as I've yet to do it. Looking for a rear axle as mine has corroded on the driver side spring seat. Can travel upto 100 miles unless it can be sent via courier. Thanks ?

Thanks for that frank, I'll keep an eye out in the coming weeks for a set. From what I've seen the Alto springs from 94-98 fit all around the Micra and the Ignis and Wagon R rears from the same era are better on the front, also rear Daewoo Matiz springs fit on the front. Not sure if the first...
