Thanks JapoGeorge. That is interesting as choice 4 is not only the cheapest but does not have the resonator. I was hoping that it was something that the MOT people wouldn't mind being missing on my car. What effect has it had not having the resonator on your K10?

I've done this twice in the last year. Local scrap yard is the best bet. You'll usually find a nice assortment of grey and dirty grey.

Sorry to hear it. Had the same thing happen to me but they gave up before they got it moving. There's a few ideas on here for how to make your car more knobhead proof. Some on this thread when I had my car broken into.

My '87 1.0L averaged 45mpg on a 50-60mph A/B-road commute. Now I'm doing a shorter commute through town and it does about 37mpg stop/start traffic etc. Motorways at 70mph+ is about 35mpg.
