Remedial tricks for removing front indicator?

Heh, left the job for my girlfriend while I was out... she found an old bicycle seatpost clamp that fits the bulb holder, threaded a cable tie through it and yanked it loose. Sorted, maybe she can do the knackered CV boot next :D

Remedial tricks for removing front indicator?

Hmm, that might give just enough elbow room (literally :)) to get a better grip and twist that poxy thing out. The antifreeze bottle is in the way too though, really don't wanna have to move that too! Who'd have thought such a simple task would be so annoying...

Remedial tricks for removing front indicator?

So I spent about 20 minutes earlier trying to replace the bulbs in my K11's front indicators... I managed to get the right-side one done, but the left is almost impossible to reach due to battery and coolant bottle in the way, and I succeeded only in scraping the cack out of my left hand. I can...

Removing the cabin heater on a facelift K11 (2000)

That'll teach me to try removing car parts at night! The welded on bit was bolted in somewhere else and I was able to swivel the rest of the frame out of the way and work the heater matrix out :D Now I just need to make a note of which cable goes where for later....

    Bought one.

Ooh, a 1.3 auto, would love one of them. I presume by "CVT light" that it's the N-CVT (electromagnetic clutch) and not the H-CVT (torque converter) that replaced it from late 2000-2003. My subjective, fairly ignorant feeling is that the clutch is controlled a bit too conservatively by the CVT...

    its gone

Sorry to hear that mate! I hope they didn't bother or were too stupid (sounds like) to set figure out how to set it on fire. Back in the mid 90s, my dad's Mazda 323 (1981, I think) was stolen, joyridden and burnt out badly. His brother was a panel beater so they took their time restoring it to...

    'Custom' K11

Ditto, it's not my cup of tea (at all...) but the bodywork looks to be really good quality. I've seen a couple that look like someone glued on ridiculous cardboard cutouts :)

Removing the cabin heater on a facelift K11 (2000)

Hi guys, I've had something leaking coolant, which got so low that the engine overheated and I got steaming antifreeze coming through the vents. Mmm, smelly socktastic! A couple of guys said to me that it's probably a blown head gasket, but I don't want to believe that (plus it may mean...

No aircon and temp gauge is usually bang in the middle, except when it maxed out last time. That sounds plausible - and if the coolant was low it'd be more likely to boil right? Will try to pop out and test the heater core for leaks... then I'll try to purge air and check for bubbles like you...

    PollyMobiles Rebuild

Hmm, actually last time it was a pretty warm day, and very thick smelly steam - I could hear the coolant boiling... When I drained the rad, there was only about 1 litre in it. Hopefully the head is ok :o That's a good to know about the stalks, maybe I can just remove them and bodge the console...

Fixing the demister is a pain... especially in this weather. We left tape on for a few days and went over the breaks a few times to get some good solid layers. Then most of them came off when trying to peel the tape away :suspect: BTW since you have the heater matrix out, do you think it's a...

Someone nearly crashed head on into my Micra last week when they basically drove towards me in the centre of the road as I came down the hill with the car loaded with shopping/family. It was pretty narrow, but plenty of room for 2 if both cars drive on their own side of the damn road :o Had to...

    Slight rattle at startup

Actually it's about 2 seconds and the light goes off after maybe 1.5 seconds. Hard to tell from the awful quality video - will try again in daytime :D

    Slight rattle at startup

Hi sva86, Like yours I think, after I release the key the rattle continues for about 3 seconds and the light stays on until just before the rattle stops. Just recorded a video demonstrating, I'll see if I can put it up soon (if it's not unusable due to it being pitch dark outside).
