Headlights should in fact need to be adjusted. When you drive on the right side of the road the left headlight is suppose to be angled to the right a little to avoid blinding oncoming drivers. Vice versa for cars designed to drive on the left side of the road. Now in reality in the U.S. almost...
Personally I think people should keep posting here. This is a well designed discussion forum website. There are people on Facebook, but Facebook sucks and was not designed to be a discussion forum.
You have some very nice cars. One thing you'll quickly discover about the Pao - good or bad, is that it generates a lot of attention, especially from females. You may find that it gets even more attention than your XK140 ever did.
I really hate Facebook, but there is a Pao page on there with a...
I don't know anything about that. I wouldn't even consider swapping my motor. A big part of the appeal for me is the small motor and I like to keep old cars original.
I don't live in Louisville anymore, so you won't see my car there.
The worse thing about these cars is the automatic. A 5-spd would be faster and more fun to drive, but those are hard to come by.
My roof has shrunk too, but it still works, so I'm not too concerned about it.
Yes, that is the...
I see you're in my hometown. Is that a 5-speed?
I've never found any manuals for the Pao. I have a Micra owner's manual, Nissan Service Manual and a Haynes manual. The owner's manual and Nissan manual are for the 1.2 liter Micra that was imported into Canada, so some info is not correct. I got...
My Pao has a rust spot on the metal beneath the door. It's only visible when you open the door. It rusted from the inside out. the paint is in good condition. I think this and other rust issues are common on these cars.
Thanks for posting. I sent mine to LS Technologies in Saskatoon, Canada. I like to keep things original, so I was very happy that they came back looking almost exactly like the originals. I think they used 30 lbs of pressure.
It looks like Amayama in Japan has the p/s pump, but it's extremely expensive. They have a listing for an o-ring, so maybe you can just replace your o-ring. Mcmaster is a good source for high quality o-rings. I ordered o-rings from them to fix a leaky windshield washer container on my Pao.
Here's the p/s part numbers:
