CBR600 :) I can't recall once for a long time that somebody in a seriously quick road car tried to race from a set of lights. But can guarantee that chavved up boy racers will do, every single time. Had an X5 try once, suprised me that they were as quick as it was lol, I had to shift at...

    car misfires

MAF sensor, dry joints. Do a search for throttle body fix, you just need to solder the throttle body.

I hate to stereotype, but it always tends to come from the same group of road users. I'm fed up of people in Astra's, Nova's, Corsa's etc etc etc trying to race me from a set of lights. People in the serious sports cars, seem to be mature enough to know they don't have a chance. Why do people...

    Need a little clarification

Frank raises a very valid point, I have previously had that O Ring snap, and when you're not driving, and the car is idling the revs surge between 600rpm to around 4000rpm

Spotted micra on Oulton park trackday.

I'm going to get up to Oulton Park next summer for some track days. There's still quite a bit of maintenance for it to be track ready though, so won't be this year.

Dangers of racing at Santa Pod??

Good luck with the 9 to 10 second runs ;) That's putting you quicker than an enzo, and quicker than most 600cc sports bikes. In a 1.3 K11, you should be looking closer to high 16's for a good time, lower 16's or high 15 if you're light and have a few real performance mods.

Dangers of racing at Santa Pod??

Depending on date, I may go down for a RWYB, see if I can get into the 11seconds.

The biggest difference, will be the grip levels. You will have much more grip on the strip, which can put strain on other parts. It's important that you get the wheels to slip slightly on launch to avoid this strain. However too much will increase your time.

    changed lambda sensor fuel consumption

I used to get around 75miles iirc with my CG10, never had a 1.3 so can't really comment on their usual fuel consumption.

    Rant number 1

I bought my bike through ebay, and tested prices by bidding on other bikes then withdrawing. I don't want to waste my time bidding on a bike that is over my budget, when I have others I can bid on. What's wrong with comparing prices?

anyone know of any special MOT stations in the cheshire area?

Where abouts in Cheshire are your cars? Give me a pm if you like, if nearby I could give them a look over and see if they start etc before you commit to anything?
