Raceworx Micra Blog

OMG thats nice man, you haveto get the Front metal plate engraved with you guessed it 'Raceworx' ....what do you think?

that is mad, sounds nice! i so want to do a mental micra project again, its just the money! i want mikes shell with my lump!
 
Intersting to see this. Why did you go for DTA? I have used this in the past but from a userbility point of view I prefer Omex. Its not really needed on a project like this, ECCS is very flexible and not too surprisingly I can do 99% of what the DTA can do on the e-manage in about 1/10th the time. Good stuff though. Its nice to see something different. Just out of interest have you fitted a Cam sensor as well, or are you just going to use wasted spark and batch injection rather than MPI?
 
i used the DTA as i was fed up with messing with the nats system multiple SR20ECU's iv got 5 lying around 2 with rom bords in them non worked. i want to run TB's in the end so though sod it i can get a full DTA and loom for cheap aswell as have it mapped.. its batch firing wasted spark for now i can add to it if needs be.. i could have got an omex from the same guy he prefers the DTA for mapping and has had lots of sucsess with it.
 
finally arrived! can anyone say WRC SPEC DRIVESHAFTS :D got next week off work i think to crack on but im in debt sobring on next pay day to get the last few bits sorted

at least they got rid of those stupid rubber dampers that the P11 ones have. that's where they snap because water gets in and helps them rot.
shouldn't be too long now. what else have you got to do?
 
well as everyone knows im selling this project but i hope this thread can be renamed so i can guide you through braking the car and subsiquent modifying of a CG Si as i have alot planend starting with a 48 hour super micra modding session!

haha..reminds me of when i bought my 2nd k11 and put all my parts on it from the one a crashed in a day......from granny to rally in 24hour grr

i can tell you this car is a good en, i test drove it on friday for sister-in-law, went back today to leave a deposit and guess what?........ that's right, mr raceworx himself was just taking these very pics. lol. sister-in-law was gutted.
she's kinda got over it now as she's set me on a task of finding her a 1.3 Si. good luck to me is all i can say.lol
anyway, hope to see this car in all it's glory when it's done.

shaun tell your sister in law im sorry but that car is mine lol i carnt belive it either it was such a day yesturday.. i test drove it aswell that morning 115MPH in standard form down the bypass.. its got potential.. but the return spring on the Gbox isnt working as you might have noticed it doesnt return to nuetral but there fixing it.

very nice car mate, i had the 1.0 version of the inspiration, 1.3's are so hard to find. ya lucky ###### lol
 
i know hence why i was nerly mugged by silver Si's sister in law!! it would be intresting to see the ratio of 1.3 to 1.0 there are!

now, this car just has a mean look about it. im sure i can get some 13x8 minilites from an ol mini cooper to look like that.... sort of

just one question....

why the black triangle in the corner of the bonnet?...... it looks cool and i have no idea why?
 
dude thats my old car the black triangle is going to move to the new blue one.. it started when i wanted somthing different on the front so people would no its me so whe everyone was saying thats stupid why have you done that i said it was a mark of a Japanese touge team.. they all wanted one! people are dumb lol

Rik the seats being swapped over :p
 
i just thaught is set off the front of the car a treat...it breaks up the line of the bonnet and cos it was a black and red theme, (as mine will be) it suited it soo well. i may do the same thing but on the opposite side.. just because it looks cool...

oooh i painted my egg (dash) the other day ready for the top coat of black... i could only get white plastic primer tho, so it realy does look like an egg!!...lol

my god are coilovers bouncy lol especially in a carbon seat with 10mm of padding! only trouble is now im scared ecery bump and ratlte is somthing braking! iv fried the standard brakes think burnt hair! and i ned the archlip rolled slightly as i get scrubing whist cornering aggressivly but if i stiffen the fronts up and put the anti roll bars on i might be okay :D
 
GTiR brakes are on but wont bleed up so im taking her into a garage to have new shoes fitted and bleeding done cos im to lazy to sit for hours pumping my pedal whilst someone watches the fluid levels and going round each corner undoing and tightening
 
This is the first time I noticed this thread. The old SR20 look excellent, just hope this one can look just as good!

the blue one will look abit better i hope :D i just need to get it back running with some brakes!!
