JAE 2021 - All the info you need!

After a year's hiatus (thanks COVID!) the MSCs flagship show is back for 2021 and promises to be bigger and better than ever!

NB: There are some additional rules relating to the show during COVID this year so I strongly advise everyone to read this entire thread before committing to attend the show.

Dates:
Thursday 12th August - Sunday 15th August

JAE is now at the Norfolk Showground, which is just outside Norwich.

What's going on at JAE this year?
A lot is still TBC as due to the pandemic, it's only just been confirmed to be happening, but here's some stuff that's happened in past JAEs
  • Stage with live entertainment, and performances from live bands
  • There will be the traditional JAE Pub Quiz, maybe we'll enter this year ?
  • Movies after dark
New for 2021: NAE - Norfolk Auto Extravaganza
To be held on the Sunday, this will be a separate part of the show where owners of any car/bike from the local area can arrive to show off their wheels. More info on the JAE website

Tickets
Advance weekend ticket: £45 - Buy here
Weekend ticket at the gate: £60 - definitely worth buying in advance!

Important note about camping this year (COVID):
Camping Tickets are LIMITED due to updated capacity restrictions. This is to comply with COVID-19 guidance with regards to shared facilities (showers & toilets).
As a result, if you intend to CAMP at JAE, we strongly recommend you purchase your tickets in advance as gate ticket options may be not be available if capacity limits are reached.

Stand cars must be cleaned, polished and well maintained

JAE Club Awards - Trophies
There will be trophies for the following categories
MSC - Best in Show
MSC - Most Unique Modification
MSC - Show & Shine
MSC - Arbitrary award

The General Public (Not on the stand)
Non Japanese cars must park in the public car park, but for 2021 JAE have allowed all Japanese cars to park in a new area, next to the quiet camping area inside the show!

MSC rules at events
The MSC accepts no responsibility for any damage or fines incurred by members during any Club events or outings that members may participate in.
The actions of the MSC sponsors are not controlled by the MSC or the Committee. The MSC and Committee in no way accept responsibility or liability for a sponsor's actions.
Members and their guests are responsible for their own actions and attend Club events at their own risk.
Members and their guests are expected at all times during Club outings and events to conduct themselves in a sensible and safe manner. This includes obeying all relevant traffic rules and laws. Any exceptions from this may result in immediate removal of membership.
The safety of its' members during Club outings and events is the highest priority of the MSC. However, the Club accepts no responsibility for any accidents or injuries that may occur during any outings or events. Anyone who acts in a manner that jeopardises the safety of themselves or others will be asked to have no further participation in that event and will be dealt with in a disciplinary manner in accordance with the Club's Rules.

These rules are in place to protect the health and safety of our Club Members, which is our highest priority.

This year I've decided to merge the info and discussion threads, so chat away here!

Attendance list will be released later this month, for now just chat about any questions you have!

I'm assuming then if it does get cancelled, refunds won't be happening from them

I'll have a think about this, it's a bit of a drive and I'm not sure my car counts as 'well maintained', plus the risk of throwing £45 into a big hole, but it would be fun to actually go to a show in my own car, plus meet some of the people I've spoken to on here :)

And to chat about all things car related.
I was made to feel very welcome, by the MSC members.
Would recommend to all those with a Micra to come next year and expand the Micra fleet.
(We need more K10's lol)
