Usb Charger

Hi all i own a 2011 K13 dig s, the usb in the passenger footwell barely charges my phone, (it only slows down the discharge rate), does anybody have a solution to this?

You need to wire an aux socket in.... could go straight to the battery, but i'm sure there is a spare terminal or 2 in the fuse box you can tap into.... I looking into doing it a year or so ago but never got around to it as its never really been an issue!

Oh right ok, instead of all the hassle ill just throw a portable battery in my backpack! thanks for the reply though

A very late reply here but a car mobile charger with QC 3.0 should charge any of your Android phone(s) fast and it should be more than powerful enough to handle any iPhone you throw at it.

The usb power on ours comes from the nissan headunit, and it is very low power, less than 500mA from what I read

That is ridiculously useless amount of power output from the head unit unless you want to charge only a bluetooth earpiece. Fortunately, the cigarette lighter socket comes very handy!
