Lowering AGAIN

put some weight in the boot and passenger foot well to simulate passenger weight and drive along roads that demand a lot of shock absorber work try not to go fast, as its the process of stressing the springs with what they were designed for, but this should accelerate the bedding in period.

Looks low enough for me. Lovely colour. Noticed mine drove better after a few weeks. Looks great. You could try fitting 5mm or 10mm wheel spacers to fill it out. As long as they're hubcentric, and not off ebay, no safety issues. I changed wheels. Lower offset means they stick out an extra 7mm, looks great. Someone on here has had the wheel spacers put on rears only. They aren't expensive. Gives that more squat look.

Yeah maybe I am being (no maybe about it) pedantic. I will see how the wider tyres on the new rims look and feel and see if I need spacers. Funny thing is the car needed alignment before being lowered, since lowering it seems to be going in a straight line now however I will still get to aligned once the tyres are fitted.

... I honestly cannot feel any of the night and day comfort difference between standard and lowered suspension, I can notice it handles so much better.
I noticed same thing with my Micra, when I lowered it. And with fairly cheap extra 10hp, it's fun to drive! ;)
However not same quantity of fun as driving with the Camaro, 347hp/518Nm at rear wheels! :)

It's time for a new chapter, have spent a considerable amount of money on her, new proper Valeo headlights (been treated with ceramic coating) new interior rear view mirror, updated centre console with custom USB and AUX connection (looks factory standard, Pioneer Apple CarPlay with DAB antenna adaptor, refurbished alloys, Continental Premium Contact 6 tyres, Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs.

Well done for persevering. Went back to 160sr springs. The valeo lights look brilliant, well worth the extra. Took off the first part of my air filter duct, and now can accelerate harder and quicker. Sports exhaust sounded good, but the extra power came with remiving the first duct, its quite restrictive.

Your car looks great. Wish I could put up with the harsh ride I had. Mine was dangerous, car felt like it was bucking when going over pot holes. Don't understand why mine was so bad.

It needs a new home/owner, will be advertising it soon

It's too nice a car to get rid? If it was mine, I'd have some black paint/detailing done, to make it look a bit more masculine, mind you, not black wheels. Sports exhaust and air filter modified, give it 2 or 3 good oil changes (with a few days in between each chamge), then drive it around ringing the nuts off it. You can rag a car if the oil is spotless.

I cannot disagree, it is a nice car however my agenda has changed so I do not wish to proceed with the other upgrades I had planned. I need to find the car a new loving owner :(

What are you thinking of next? Saw a lovely reproduction mrk1 gti on ebay. I'd love one of those or a mk2. The repro one had a full restoration, and bare metal respray. Practically as new. Wants 10k for it. Seems a bargain, for an immaculate gti, all bar on documents.
