Obd 1 code reader

I have a Micra k11 1998 model and need a obd1 code reader ? I also have a OBD2 reader I bought for my last 02 k11 but after buying a adaptor to convert 2 to 1 coder it didn't work. Any idea how I can read OBD1 codes without calling in a mechanic,.

Hi John D, I found the fuse by myself thanks to the haynes manual 10amp F16 in fuse box. And I'm not that stupid. I had a classic Citroen 2cv6 1986 for 27 years before this Nissan k11 & repaired that one with ease, as it was easier to work on than this K11 .The wiring was easier to get to behind the dash and the engine was even easier just 602cc engine that's 2 horse power with no rad /air cooled top speed was "70mph 0-60 took ages" but I had no choice with Rust it had to go. I wish I hadn't sold her .

Sorry for the tongue in cheek quip Peter;).
Never had one but always thought that 2CV's looked fun. Hope your old one didn't just get scrapped but went to an enthusiast that could either fit one of the readily available replacement galvanized chasis's or dismantle it for usable mechanical parts, there is a cult following for 2 CV's that is just as big as the one for Micra's:cool:
