Help, why do I get bored so easily?

Most of you know my car history! For those of you that don't I'll write it down below.
I wanted to talk about boredom, and does anyone else get this way, and if so, why do you think that is?
I get bored of cars usually after about a month of owning them, and I was wondering why that may be, it really irritates me, as it costs so much money.

I've thought of a few potential reasons;
I like too many different cars
I'm too impulsive
I'm too impatient and don't like waiting
I'm young and from a now now now generation
I can afford it whilst still living at home

So here goes my list:

2001 Nissan Micra S 1.0
1993 Subaru Legacy GL wagon
1993 Peugeot 205 GTX
1995 Nissan Micra Super S
1995 Toyota Starlet GT Turbo
1990 Volvo 740 GL Wagon
1995 Volvo 940 turbo wagon
1996 Nissan March G#
2001 Nissan Micra S 1.4
1998 Nissan Primera P11 SRI
1999 Nissan Micra 1.0
1999 Nissan Micra 1.3
2013 Nissan Micra DIG-S
1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V
1999 Ford Focus 2.0
2006 Seat Leon Cupra R
1998 Peugeot 306 HDI
2003 Renault Clio DCi

Pretty terrible since I've had my licence 26 months :/

Any thoughts appreciated!

Make your next car a Saab Turbo, should keep you interested for a while.....;)
Surprised that you didn't keep with the Cupra R, I had one for 6 months, as a company car, very sad to have to give it back when I retired, most fun I've had in a car with my trousers on....

I know your pain......I own and have owned some cars that I've never even driven...(I've got 10 at the moment )...I owned a 3000e capri that I restored and never even bothered to drive. .....I think my attention span is tiny and my ideas run away with me. ....plus I've got a bucket list of cars I've always wanted. .....either way it doesn't make me easy to live with. ....hell, I've bought some vehicles in secret .....its an addiction

Only drove it once, it was boring, coming from Starlets to the very uninspiring German blandness was a kick in the face.

I'm glad someone understands.

The over exuberance of youth?

This probably.

Buy a car you won't get bored of so easily. Save up and do your research. Find out which engines can take the most power on standard internals.

Ive spent silly money on cars over the years. like someone else said, it is a bit of an addiction lol

I found I got bored of my Micra because it wasn't quick enough with what my mates were driving and I couldn't afford/ran out of ideas of what mods

After having owned a Renaultsport 200 I realised speed isn't everything and now Iv got a better job o can afford to mod the Micra how I want so I got it back

Very simple answer to your "boredom" Max....you're not bored - you just don't know which car you really like.
In my youth (many, many years ago) I always wanted only one car .... a Jaguar, like you I went through many different cars until I got my Jaguar - then I had 7 different models over 30 years.
I have not owned a Jaguar for about 4 years now, don't need one anymore as I don't travel these days, my Micra, and Wagonr will do for me now.
My advice to you would be .....decide which car you really, really want, aim to get it eventually, but stop wasting money on all the cars you are buying at this time and focus on the one you want.
Your focus will take away your impatience, which is what it really is.
Hope that helps buddy.;)

My dream car is a 6spd manual black TT MK4 Toyota Supra
I don't want one, because I don't want to get disappointed?!

Just really irritating constantly being unsatisfied!

You're a long way from being able to pay the insurance on that baby I would think.;)

I love my 350z.... but I also share the same dream of owning a supra rz.... so, I've recently decided to take that leap of faith and buy one. it's a car I would never get bored of and is just within my grasp at the moment.

But I don't think it will be long before the prices rocket. It's a cult classic and they can take up to 800hp on stock internals which is crazy.

You would probably do well finding a clean na auto and then having the option of converting it to a tt manual in the future.
