Hey everyone. I've got most of you guys on Facebook but thought I'd stick a thread up anyway as it's way better to keep track of everything I've done, and also to say hi again to the people I haven't got on there. Safe to say I'm back and this will be my big project for the next few years.

I picked up this white 1.3GX last week for the grand sum of £175.

Pretty sweet right? It ticks all my prerequisites. Awesome colour, 1275 dizzy engine, 3 door, manual, low miles. The perfect base for a K11 if you ask me. It's kinda lame but I'm chuffed to have a white one, as it's in total contrast to my old black one, so it looks different from every angle. Same car, different perspective.

The car is solid, both sills have been done and painted black (eurgh), but it's tatty, the interior is nasty and stinks and the paint has faded like a MF. If anyone has any tips on how to get a white k11 gleaming, please share, as I don't think I've ever seen a white one without flat paint.

It took 5 days and I ended up buying a Super S body kit for it, in white, from a lovely chap in Swansea from the facebook group. I'm currently staying in Port Talbot and it was a 10 minute drive to collect all the bits so I felt like I'd hit the jackpot. I've got both bumpers, fogs and towing eye cover with a spoiler, plus the dude was generous enough to chuck in a pair of white wings and a pair of headlights. Doesn't hurt to have some spares, and If the wings clean up nice I'll probably replace my current ones as they're marked.

I started fitting the kit the night I got it, and it was a nightmare. Both headlights had deteriorated at the back where you tighten them into the front, so I basically had to rip them out as there was no way of un tightening the bolts. Once that obstacle was out the way I started attacking the final nuts on the front bumper, all of which snapped.

So the car currently looks like this, as I don't have all my tools in port talbot, a mate is popping over at the weekend to drill the ends out and chuck me a bunch of new hardware at the same time. Nothing is ever simple! Poor little thing!

Luckily the rear bumper was a doddle!

I'm here in Wales at the minute staying with family and working in their shop, hopefully I'll have enough cash for a set of coilovers and wheels which as always are the first things I'll get done, expect to see it low and on 15s by mid September.

For now, while I'm here, the focus is on getting it tidy. It's by no means in a bad state, it just needs a lot of love. I've given it a once over and a hoover out, once the body kit is finished it'll get a t-cut which I hope will bring the paint up nice and get the panels a little more evenly coloured. I'm removing all the stickers, side strips, side stripe decals and getting the paint as flat as I can. There's a few little bits of surface rust here and there which I've already got the paint and sandpaper to fix. My goal really is to get it as clean and mint as I can before the fun stuff starts. I've ordered a fresh set of alloy pressed plates which, when it's tidy with the body kit on, will finish it off and have it looking really smart.

I'm also looking for SR decals, I can find Super S ones but not the SR badges. Anyone know a place? I want to de sticker but that red and black SR badge will finish off the look perfect.

Also expect boost... This will be the second boosted Micra in the house...

OH also follow me on Instagram I love seeing what you lot are up to, I'm @harlenk11, I'll follow ya'll back!

To get the white back fresh and tasty I recommend g3 cutting compound brilliant stuff took my faded and browning Millie to the nice metallic red it is today :)

Cheers for the replies everyone, Tom I might give that stuff a crack, we've got some cheap nasty T-Cut I'm gonna use first. If it looks **** I'll get on Amazon and order a bunch of proper stuff

Found some Super S mudflaps on the body kit I bought (it included wings!), I didn't even realise. So chucked them on

I always find t cut on a white car makes it a dirty cream colour haha
I've literally never used T-Cut in my entire life! I need a new cleaning kit anyway, I might invest in a new cloth and a bunch of other tasty stuff then

I read somewhere that it contains ammonia which is really bad for your paint anyway mate a compound would really help buff it back to the good stuff underneath then polish with a quality grade polish I use ultra deep shine from auto glym dark polish but I'm sure they do a light version.
Then a soft wax to finish it I'm using dodo juice purple haze soft wax expensive but does a bloody good job!

1200 grit wet and dry all over with lots and lots of water then a ruddy good polish all over :) will be b-e-a-utiful :) xxx

Welcome back chap! Those headlamps with the broken backs, any chance you could separate the lens from the n/s one and sell it to me?

Hey dude only just saw this, I actually just flogged them, sorry!

So the latest from me. Bought some pressed plates ready for when I finally get the kit on (I'm gonna attack it all tomorrow, I'm done with waiting for the weather to stop being ****)

And the **** head next door twatted my car and won't admit to it. Need to respray my new SR bumper a week into it being on, and driving to a mates house at some point in the week to filler and repair the rear quarter.
