Sill drain holes

Hello
I've just been peering under my trusty K11. Can anyone tell me what the 3 circular rubber bungs are under the sills either side? are these water drainage points?
If these aren't the sill water drainage points, can anyone tell me where those are?
Many thanks
Dave

Hello
I'll try & get some pic's (unfortunately I'm crap with technology !)
To try & describe them - the bungs are black circular rubber & about 2cm diameter, there's 3 on the underside of each sill (on the painted part) they're very visible when I lie on the floor or peer under the sill (I don't have to be underneath the car or anything like that).
The Micra is a 1998 4 door k11.
Cheers

Could be where some-one drilled hole for underseal ????

Hello
It's a good assumption & I'd have thought that too, but I'm the second owner (I've had the car 11 years), the car was previously owned by an old lady & I have the full service history from day one. The car is totally bog standard (it has never had anything other than servicing/ the odd repair), so I don't think it will be for rustproofing etc.
The bungs are also very neat & symmetrical on both sides so look like a factory job rather than after-market.
Cheers

Maybe there not air tight? So allows for ventilation? Or the ability to dry the sills out

Perhaps it might be for that (I'm actually now quite chuffed I got a photo to show on here !) They just seem to be in a good spot to let water out. I've seen mention that the crimped flange on the bottom of the sill works as some kind of drain but as there is no visible gap (& I can't even get a feeler gauge or bit of wire into any discernible gap) I don't really see how that could really work.
Does anyone know definitively?

Iv broken 3 facelifts now as well as my own and they have all had these, I thought nissan had got wise with the sill rot and stuck a few drain/access holes for a bit of waxoil etc

The thing is they're exactly equidistant on either side & at least one has traces of factory white paint on, I can't see either being the case if they were aftermarket waxoil holes?
The thing is the crimped edge on the very bottom of the sill is going rusty so could do with rustproofing & painting so if these rubber bungs were the drain holes (& not the crimped edge) that would enable me to sort that problem. I don't want to paint the crimped edge for fear of blocking something (not that it looks like any water could get out that way !)
Why can't Nissan just have made it obvious

Hello
I removed one of the bungs this morning. It doesn't appear to be a drain of any type just a rubber bung & they definitely look like factory holes as they're very neat. Not sure if it's a good idea to leave the bung out, so perhaps water can get out (but then I suppose water could also get in too )
I'm still not quite sure how water is supposed to drain from the sills if these aren't drain holes ??
Oh & a top tip if you take a bung out yourself, don't stick your little finger in the hole to see what's in there. I had an anxious minute when I couldn't get my damned finger out again :eek:, so don't do that yourself :D!)

Hi, I pushed the centre of the holes and it releases the water I get from a stupid leak in the roof
