you know at the fair they sometimes have powerlines to go to the rides? yeah our ones go over a road that i just went down, luckily nothing was running or people would be baffled as to why the power has just gone out hahahaha, the micra terrorises devizes once again!

Nothing to the micra, but had the opportunity to do some carbon fibre composite laying at work today... May have to look at making some bits...

Been working on this on and off at work in our workshop, over the last few days :-

Removable strengthening parts for the sump guard out of 8mm Dural. Has added a lot of weight, but good for the Welsh Forests, and removable for tarmac events.

Also got a delivery of what should have been Nissan Coolant, but they delivered 5L of their 5w-30 DPF Oil. They are sorted out sending the coolant and said i can keep the oil, so do i keep it and mix it in with my normal oil for the road cars (which run 10w-40) or do I try and sell it ? Anyone want it ?

Wired up the auto K11 rad fan, which had two feeds to it. Much more powerful than the standard fan and a better shroud to pull air through the rad.

Was so powerful when running the fan on the bench standing upright it tried to pull its self along!

Also last night, I continued with the prep work on re-wiring the headlight, spots etc... and removed the screen wash bottle. The new one is much smaller, so ignoring the weight saved from the reduced volume of screen wash (~1.5kgs) the bottle itself saved me 0.5kgs from the very edge of the OSF :) Also removed some un-needed wires, and painted up the front panel.

What did I to my micra today...

I bought it!

Made a 4 hour round trip.
To see a 98 pre facelift micra that I've been chasing for the past week.
Made it up to the gentleman and couldn't turn him down.
My new micra is a teal blue 3dr gx. She isn't without her flaws but this is my second gx but first P/F I have a lot of plans for her.

windows kinda fixed, just a bit dodgy winding it up -.- took a random drive to swindon and beat a 107 and a diesel merc off the line both after each other haha, tears left my eyes when my mate in the back looked behind and saw two older blokes in shock haha!

Replaced the drilled airbox with my standard one. Got a bit fed up of the sound and wanted to see if it made any difference to power and fuel economy.

WDIDT?

Not actually today, but last week, after removing applied some direct to rust paint. Applied some grease under the(what is called the rubber under the spring/coil ) and connect the axle with out the long trailing arm and the breaks shoe. Since the back plate from the old axle is very rusty, removed from the axle with break shoes and the rest as whole unit.

Drove the Red one (Burt) its now 130030 mile s on the clock and going fine done 230 since last file and the it seems it is going an other 120 till the light turns on.

Now the question s are:

1 has any one tried this. Are they reliable?

2. How can I remove and fix the hand break wire/link and refit it to the back plate? Is it very difficult?

Regards

99% of the time... no
But these stories keep appearing
:D My dad says when he drives his S2000, he'll always get one or two people who just shoot off at the lights if he's next to anyone, probably thinking they just trashed him.

In Micra news, I've painted my new spoiler today! Just one of the little ones, not the wrap-around SR/Super S style ones (though they were tempting). It hasn't came out perfect because it's my first real go at spraypainting and silver is apparently hard to get right, but we'll see how it turns out :)

I understand his point. I used to get it alot too. Must've been all the stickers. I just laugh at them

Gave it a sevice, unfortunately where I live no flat surfaces, so slight rear facing. Slop ( to a kerb), was lucky to get 2L of oil in. Interestingly, the first oil to come out the dump was pretty clean ( still golden), later stuff was blacker.
Think the slope left a fair bit in.
