In an almost related note, I was taking a photo of a seriously large tree that has come down in the ridiculous breeze over the last few days by my Halfrauds store.
Then noticed the cars either side were worth taking shots of too ;)

Funny that Jen, that's the two routes people take when buying their next car. Either VTEC or an MX5 ...

Happy New Year all.

New Wheel year yo!

@markbognor

Anyone know of any wheels similar to these that fit the micra without arch work and are easy to get a hold of?

The 7"s are et20, so a set would be perfect (if a little too tucked on the rear!) or go staggared with the 8"s at Et5 with some arch massaging.

Could give these guys a message too. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Extreme-offset-Wheels/115851265166759

Yup found em recently eh ;), saving fund started :D

Cheers though mark knew you could help :D

EDIT: Had a decent look at that extreme offset wheels place

Just e-mailed em :D

Does anyone know the Internal Diameter of the lower radiator hose on a K11? Or can someone easily measure for me?

Cheers Frank :) It occured to me the hosetails for my flow meter are 25mm... dunno wether to risk 3mm of squash... might be a bit much for thick rubber... or just splash out on some proper hosetails at £15 the pair...

Awesome, just gotta wait for my rad hose to arrive then can fit this flow meter :) (don't want to ruin my only one and leave myself in the lurch!)

Repotted my venus fly trap today :) It seemed so squished in its original pot.

Had it for a few months and it's grown a little bit. Most of the traps are new and fairly small. The winter isn't kind to it!

I used a cheapo macro lense for this photo. It is a photo of one of the tiny trigger hairs within the trap.

Anyone else got one, or had one? :)

My nan used to have one on her windowsill, not sure what ever happened to it?
I remember seeing it have a beastie in its clutches and watching it get slowly digested over the few days I used to visit.
I guess it must have got thrown out when she moved to a bungalow a few years ago :(

We have an aloe vera in our conservatory, I've re-potted that and a couple of my mums cacti before...thick gloves are a must! Lol ^_^

Sorry to double post but another thread just reminded me that I still haven't posted the following link.

My dad found this, through a mate at work. They do workshop and automotive consumables, tonnes of handy stuff you never knew you wanted/needed ^_^

Broke my VTEC cherry today, test drove a 1.8 civic for Scott. I may have misjudged the whole vtec thing, stomping on the accelerator in first from 5mph was err, a bit of a shock :D Wheelspin when VTEC kicked in. Lovely engine, but not worth buying a whole honda for imo.
Then went to check my mates non starting 1.6 astra. 10V accross the battery and 3V when "cranking" (I use the term losely haha), so new battery for him tomorrow I think...

My neighbours lexus refused to start the other day, battery was barely reading 7v ^_^
They don't even know how to check the tyre pressures, and if they do they hide it well as they always seem to be running at around 15psi :O

Its something thar was unique nce upon a time and they still bang on about it
And I don't think its the car or the concept its the attitude of honda drivers about vtec that makes them so hated
