Fitting a rev counter

Brutal Honesty
Daughter could do with a rev counter as she is learning and is struggling to get to grips with the engine speed, so I thought one would help
So I believe some clocks are plug and play? if so which ones? Its a 2000 1.0l
Or should I just fit this

If so how do I connect it up?
Not sure if it's as simple with a coilpack.

With a dizzy engine you just wire up to the signal wire

Wire to ECU pin #18 maybe?

You should be able to plug any facelift dials with a rev counter in as a direct fit. Thats a trip to the scrap yard for any car between 1999-2002 as anything previous will be a mechanical speedo drive

Thanks but what models have a rev counter?
Our is a face lift but an S so no rev counter, then if the mileage is out can this be corrected?

SI have the counters I think,

I have a 2000 facelift, went to the scrappies and got a rev counter out of a 2001/2001 micra and it was plug and play, just 5 screws to undo it all and pop the new on in, its just 1 single plug for the whole dial set.

Cant change the mileage with the digital dials unfortunately, but you might get lucky like me and find a set with mileage close to yours :)

Si have green, GX/Inspiration 1.3's have black ones. All you need is a screw driver, take about 5 screws off, then it's 1 plug at the back, wiggle it off and you're good to go! Expect to pay around £15-25 for a new set.

Thanks, I assume it wont matter if its from a 1.0l or a 1.3?
Only issue is the loal scrappy tends to have older Micras in but I will have alook
