Cup holders

You can get universal ones that fit in the dash vents . A JDM centre console cup holder might fit a facelift .

This has got me thinking... I might try and knock together a wire holder at work on monday, bend up some filler wire to the correct shape, TIG it together on a ridiculously low amps setting and think of a way to fix it to the dash...

That is a big responsibility! I shall try to remember that I have to remind you :p x
You forgot to remind me :p

Meh, gave it a go, needs thinner filler wire to do joints and less amps. Some skill would be good too...

Gunna look for somehwere to fix it, but this one is going in the bin probs, it's a random size and was just to work out whats the best way to make it, I think I got a more asthetically pleasing and solid way to do the welds figured out so might do a proper one tomorrow with measurements off a maccy d's cup.

Hello!

I too am looking for a cheap way to get a cupholder :p

I was thinking I could purchase a cheap and cheerful cupholder like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-New...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d4281a8cd which is made to clip to the airvents, but I thought as I don't use the ash tray in my 1998 1.0 model, could somehow mount this in the little bit of space between the ashtrap and gear shift?

I've purchased one anyway and I've got to wait a few weeks for it to arrive it seems, but any idea on how I could get this to work?

I like trying to make things look as stock as possible, as if they were installed by manufacturer, so I'll probably get a nice matte black finish on it, but any ideas how I can fit this and have it looking nice? XD
