A new begining. Bike carbed Super S.

Right as some of you may know I have a red super s lowering on coilovers with BBS wheels. The car sadly last week has died a sad death (MASSIVE gearbox failure). So I have bought shafs Super S. I can tell you now it is mint! I plan to put my bikes carbs onto it, bbs wheels and the coilovers.

Here is a picture of my old car. I miss it already.

Here is the new car, it has had a full respray, powerflow stainless steel exhaust system with a 4-2-1 manifold. There are loads of mods to come.

I really hope I get some followers on this blog (unlike my other one), I will be posting alot more on this one.

I'd be happy with dropped if it's going to be a rally/racecar, but for street use it needs slamming

I also found out I can get HUGE flames when I key bang it and very loud! I have had one guy take down my number plate because of it. I don't think he was happy because when I asked him why he is writing my number plate down he just ignored me. Oh well this means no more key banging in public.

I have a slight leak in one of the coolent pipes I got quite a big list to do.
Get Nissan March Super S stickers made.
Convert it to jap plate front and rear.
Fit march lights
Fit march grille
Fit momo steering wheel
Get some nicer BMW BBS's for it
fit coilovers
Fit my sound system to it
Replace door card with orignal ones
 
I have decided to go with some 13s as I want to lower it but I don't want to roll the arches.

Scott, These are ET 7, they will stick out of the arches mate. Them lenso wheels i had on this were 7J Wide and ET40. look at the pics, they sit pretty flush with the arch.

The higher the ET, the more it will sit in the arch, The lower the ET the far more it will stick out. Always remember when buying wheels mate.

Also you would struggle getting 13" with a higher ET. You may need to look at getting some 14" wheels.

Yeah I did lots of test on will they fit. I have decided to stick with my 14" 6.5j 27et wheels. Gives the perfect about of poke.

Another update. The coilovers are not going on the car! I don't want to add any stress to the chassis with coilovers. Every K10 I have seen with coilovers shows stress marks (ripples and what not). I might get some soft springs for it to fix it. Either that or I will cut the springs a tiny bit.

I would do some work to it tomorrow or this weekend but I am way too busy. I did replaces one of the coolant hoses (the one whichs goes into the heater matrix) as it had a split in it so when it got to a certain tempreture it pisses water out. Luckily it didn't do it on the 208 mile ride home! I also put some nice stainless steel jubilee clips on it. When I get some more money (two or one years time) I will replaces ever last pipe with brand new ones and clips.

I have replaced the top hose for the rad. The one which came with the car was a universal jobby, I did no like it. Once again I have used stainless steel jubilee clips, its starting to brighten up the engine bay. I want to get it as good looking as the outside :).

Pictures of engine bay will follow later tonight.

I will be getting rid off these speakers and putting the original speaker mesh back on. I prefer the look.

I replaced the screw cover with a proper colour coded one. The one which came with the car was brown and was painted black. They are easily lost items.

Strut brace fitted, also fitted a new battery/bigger battery with an orignal plastic battery matt. I have also noticed that the EGR was removed and other carb mods which is why this car is pretty damn nippy. I saw that this car was dynoed a few years ago and pushed out around 75BHP as the fly.

New top hose for the rad was fitted with nice stainless steel jubilee clips. Also a good picture of the 4-2-1 manifold. I got a lovely looking red rocker cover to fit or an orignal black one.

Also got some pictures of the stainless steel exhaust (powerflow) and of the underneath. The car is so mint! I need to turn around all the U bolts when I get some time. I don't like them facing towards the ground.

Tomorrow I will be going to the Vauxhall/Opel show in Billing with my dad and his classic Vauxhall. I will get some pictures and also pictures of the chaviest cars there. It is a shame it is most of the cars are Corsa's.

after trying to sleep for about an hour and just thinking about the car. i am thinking about getting a figaro engine then a renault 5 turbo carb with the turbo t25. should work out fine as the engine was designed to be turboed....

If your getting a r5 carb you may aswel use a standard ma10? Easier to source
I know what you mean tho.... I'm always up planning something car wise

Im thinking an ma10 et because they are turboed from the factory so shouldnt be as much problems as a ma10 or ma12. i was also looking at that super turbo engine on ebay.

There's a super turbo engine on ebay :eek:
Besides compression what makes em suited is down to the carb and manifold which you plan to change anyway. Ma10s are 9:1 iirc and can handle boost :) just trying to save you money

yeah i know what car it came off of and it ran good with a enault 5 carb. its just been sitting for 5 years so most likely need a rebuild.

yeah i saw someone turboed a stanard ma10 ran fine until it blew a conrod out of the side of the block.

The engine wont take it as proved by many people including pork. Best was is ma10et or ma09. Not worth the hassle with ma12's or ma10's. Also loom what i got ....

Its been done alot. I am amazed how many people have turboed a k10. I could just sell my body to get that super turbo on ebay!! I want that car.

Ma10 was a tough littke thing, held the boost fine (20psi for a while, no actuator)


Mine broke coz it got jammed open on the throttle and revved till it went bang :(

No idea how long it woulda lasted otherwise.........probably not very long,

Ahh **** dude that sucks. I got starmags and I love them. I still need to get wobble nuts and 175/50/13 nankangs. I want ridmof the 4x4 tyres

Where on coilover micras have you seen stress marks?
If you have a really stiff setup eg stupidly low (I had my old micra as low as it could go, the rears were riding on the bumps stops) and I had a mate with very stuff springs. Both of our cars have ripples from the stress on the rear wings and on top of the front wing.

I have fitted my rear coilovers and have them a good inches higher than I did on my old one and it rides great! Had a great night besides for the couple in a white 5 series who decieded to do some dogging right infront of my house where I parked. I got just a tad angry as them to piss off. Then offered to join in just to make them move. I then proceeded to follow the dirty couple for about an hour just to really piss them off.

I mean right infront of someones house! They kept trying to do it infront of peoples houses.
 
Oh, im not going to go extremly low, but it needs to be stiffer (250ish whp coming), and i will put front and rear strut bars, aswell as some kind of support under the engine.
