I've also swapped the stock panhard rod for my on car adjustable one but never got around to getting pics. Was also going to lower it but stomach (and fading light) stopped play

Suppose I'd better put a to-do list

replace all locks and ignition barrel (cause they're badly worn)
replace thermostat (temp needle not moving)
replace steering wheel (whatever the material is, it moves on the skeleton)
replace passenger wing mirror (some fool "fixed" it with screws:confused:)
give the interior a bloody good clean (previous owner is a smoker)

Anything else will be a treat, this is only a daily driver ;)

There's a vibe in my area, same colour. old lady drives it, condition is ok, few scrapes. She revs the nuts off the thing though when parking. Poor clutch.

No sunroof? Hey! I've no sunroof either ;)

Cheers guys :) quite liking this little 1.0, but I don't know how long I can keep it like this I'm so use to the awesome power that is the 1.3 haha

@Motty you've been my way a few times its only fair :)

Not a Remus it's an APEXi N1 coming straight from Japan :D

Really I need to give the car a good clean to see how bad the paint is, just can't be arsed at the moment

Going to have to do a head swap, the car has been smokey since my sister bought it. So suspecting the valve stem seals I'm going to play it safe and replace the head with one I know is good

i meant more so tbh :) i,ve yet to see any worn valveguide seals on a CG tho mate, the cam over bucket design pushes the valve open without any side loading (unlike old style rockers) and the buckets also shroud the guide from oilspray

I think my luck is in (makes a change), ordered a spigot ring cause I wasn't sure on the cb of the compo's. a package arrived today and I was greeted with

Four of them :) good thing my guess was right and they fit like a charm

Aww that was a waste of time, removed the clocks from Charlie to put into the Vibe but the rev counter isn't wired in :( also thought I'd use it to see if the original temp gauge was dodgy... and... it isn't

This car is a proper shed and I'm starting to think Frank is wrong, had a look under the bonnet to have a proper look and found the rad fan unplugged, the expansion tank hose disconnected and next to no fluid in the radiator.

Seriously think the hg is to blame for the smokiness, it hasn't drank much oil since I put some in.

Unless anyone has other ideas

Seems odd.

Have you added any coolant and have you noticed a drop after driving?

When my Fiesta hg blew it drank over 6 litres of coolant in a few miles
