As if the fuel economy of the turbo isnt bad enough ... This is for the tyres ive just ordered :(

Oh :p Notgood!

Where do you find that info?

What happened?

It all started when I couldn't find a pair of matching socks.. Long story cut short, if I wear odd socks I have massive bad luck. So after a terrible nights work I drive the 25mile trip home being super carefull and avoided a couple of small collisions, I get near home and decide to fill up with petrol(I never fill up after work :s) so after about 5meters past my street someone pulls out right infront of me and I clip their backend while braking.

He seemed honest and took responsibilty. Shouldn't cost too much to repair, but he said he's going to get a garage to look at it first, and going to cost me a few days wage until it's repaired.

How much!? I assume turbo map?
ed,s prices are on his fusion site rob, have a chat with him, and he ask,s you what maf/boost/injectors etc you intend to run then loads his basemap to suit (gonna give it a dyno run to make sure everything is kosher too :))

tried out the nistune on the short chain high comp engine :) had to shave the pip off the 292cc sr injectors (marked blue) so that the stock plugs fitted ok backwards, and fitted the (non ghetto) stock reg :).
sweet idle, and closed looping @ cruise like before

Dropped it off at the bodyshop to have nearly £500 worth of repairs:eek: could buy another for that. Tried to get cash but he got everything sorted with the garage before I knew how much it was. Also suspect that he doesn't have valid insurence so I'll take anything.

Definately need to sort out a second car, this engine's not going to last much longer:rolleyes:

Are you doing a back to back dyno test with/without the nistune Frank? That would be interesting.

RINGLANNDDDSS...this happened to me :D

It looks like it huh . Smoke was coming out of the damaged wing yesterday when at a standstill:oops: The sump had started leaking the other day though, I lost about 1/2 litre over 80miles so I was very low on oil(below min) when it started smoking. Topped it up with oil and it only smoked on cold start up. Hoping it was just because of the lack of oil, will compression test when I get it back *finger crossed*

Fitted a higher spec speedometer to the micra beast yesterday (feels weird having a rev gauge haha) i was rather surprised that it just plugged in and worked too.. 15,000 more miles than normal ones though but not arsed i can see my revs! haha

did you make sure her timing is sorted?

her,,,,,,hur hurrr hurrr,,,,,,,,,,,,yo it a boyo over er boyo over errrr boyo over errrrr,,,,,:),,,,,,,, seems the timing runs good retard more than the old distributor which ran turned up almost all the way.. i am doing it by ear though no tools for timing only foot and ear. r reg well messed up :)

I swear you said you have a timing issue back when.

Drove it back from manchester :) done over 400 miles on the new shocks now and the ride is surprisingly not too bad considering the heavily preloaded springs... need to sort my new insurance to start next month then sort it out, need to know how low the fronts will go on stock shocks before i lower the back, if i have to get new front struts too then i'll go back to standard shocks on the back till i can afford new ones for the front too

What did I do...sorry not micra related...

Me and my mate, 1hour!!!

nice work... the purpose of the exercise?

Wdid? just finished putting the door card back on with it bodged again for now, 2 hands to open the window, one to roll and one to push the glass down with it!

also got told rather unceremoniously that my car is too low, too hard and too tatty to be used for taking my gran to my cousins wedding next week... so im now insured on our toyota yaris (eugh!) till mid november when the policy ends for 8 pounds something :) the car is horrible and unresponsive with the numbest clutch ever... but it does mean i now have a secondary ride while i faff with the suspension on the micra! :D guess its still Jap at least...

Woke up this morning to see the micra not on the drive! turns out he's gone in for a fair bit of work etc and should have it back by next week :)

went to my dad's old shop where my dad used to own his business so he left his micra for ages ago.
i tried to remove this bumper and left wing panel so i flopped it everything:( . i got to buy new bumper and left wing in soon :(
i was practicing to remove my grill and headlights but it was so hard to do it (i was doing gentle to remove my grill cos i don't want to damage my car). my headlights are hard to remove cos these bolts are stuck and rusty together.

got cross member from euro car part:D

on this monday, everything will be sort it hopefully :(

Bought it some new insurance :) half the price of last year at £668 with alloys, suspension and spoiler declared, and only another 15 quid if i wanna mod the manifolds and exhaust too! I reckon therell be some mods with the next paycheque :) assuming i can find decent priced exhaust system or new manifolds...

They limit lowering to 50mm cause apparently lower is dangerous... so on 30mm tein lowerings i can still afford to cut down a bit and run corsa shocks just about, no idea what standard ride height is for comparison though, before OR after 16 years of sagging lol
