Nissan Micra 2001 Aerial Replacement

Hello there, I found this older post on replacing a Micra aerial;
http://www.micra.org.uk/threads/replacing-the-aerial-on-the-later-k11s.45562/

But for some reason I cannot reply to it. :(

Basically my Micra has a broken aerial and I want to replace it. Problem in it looks just like the pics on the above post but the actual screw bit seems to have been snapped off? Ideally I would just by a replacement screw in 'bee-sting' but I do not have anything to screw it into.

I assume I would have to remove the entire bit and replace it. How do I go about doing that? Can anyone link me to a replacement part? (including fitting mechanism)

I will try and post a picture of what it currently looks like for you this evening.

p.s. If this can be moved to the old post or I can be given the ability to post on there it would be much apreciated.

Thanks
Chris

Get a small drill bit say 3 or 4 mm and then get a the same size "easy out" drill a hole in the centre of the bit stuck inside and the get your easy out stick in the hole and turn with your spanner anti clockwise it should grip the old piece and remove it with out damaging the threads inside the aerial mount then you can shove your new aerial in

Hi mate, the actual bit you screw the aerial in has snapped off not the aerial screw attachment itself. I will take a photo later. I'm wondering if I can buy that bit to re-attach. would it involve taking out the roof lining etc?

Oh I see lol, is the co-ax there and can you pull it through. halfrauds do a universal kit I think that if you can get the wire through you could connect up and just stick on then seal with some clear silicone if not yeah lining out to trace the cable and bolt a original on which would probably need to be sourced from ya local scrappy I reckon

As you can see the actual fitting has been snapped off.

Any thoughts.

Thanks
