mechanical speedo drive

Hi

I'm looking for a mechanical speedo drive (the part bolted into the box that the cable then attaches to) to convert my gear box from digital to mechanical speedo.

Many thanks

Its a different size!
You cannot remove the digital speedo drive and fit a mechanical one with a speedo cable because the digital gearboxes speedo drive hole is about half an inch bigger.

But the actual drive gear will be a different diameter, therefore a different ratio. So even if you make a sleeve to mesh with the gear in the gearbox thew speedo is going to be out.

Would be easier to swap the gearbox with the earlier type.

I'm not using standard clocks they will be custom made

The plan is a hybrid mechanical drive, problem is I need one to start with

the pinion gear on my mech & elec speedo was exactly the same

Sorted now, bought a mechanical drive and it was the same size with same size cog and same number of teeth. Have been told there are 2 sizes and the larger size is what's needed
