Nissan March HK11 CVT to Manual Conversion

Ok guys, i want to convert from CVT to Manual, i already read some posts here and on CMF, seems easy, change gearbox, linkage, crossmember, mounts, etc...

Saw a pic of the CVT inhibitor relay bypass on a K11, but i dont find it on the March, does anyone have a pic of it or tell me where it is?

And another thing, no one that made the conversion took any pics of the reverse/neutral switches re-wiring, what is needed to do it?

Cheers

you may be able to hear the relay click baguete, if you move the stick up and down to neutral to drive ?
and you will probably need the length of loom from a donor car for the neutral and reverse eh

Did that and couldnt hear any click, even with a friend listening on the engine bay... What could be the colour of the wires?

And the March will be the donor car, will install every single part from the March on a SuperS, to keep the auto-aircon, electric mirrors, etc and have LHD and a "free" sunroof. But i have some other K11 looms, i can cut some parts from them.

i think you,ll find that the march loom (auto or manual) will be very different mate  (single plug instead of 3 for the clocks for example ?)

Need to check that then, still didnt stripped the March, need to remove all the stuff from the SuperS first and get it painted from red to black, then install the March stuff...

If anyone has a PDF or similar with the March wiring, can post it here please?

Already have the translation made, used an EDM fusebox paper and cutted it to fit the JDM paper:

Ok, manage to make some progress about the March wiring loom, already found the CVT start inhibitor and reverse/neutral switches.

This two connectors are the ones you need to "work":

To bypass the CVT inhibitor, its just a matter of joining the two wires on this connector, make sure its thick enough:

To enable the reverse/neutral switches, use this connector:

Use this diagram to make the right connections:

That wiring diagram is from the gearbox connector, on my pic is, front left to right on the upper line to lower line:

6 - D
5 - Ds
X
3 - Positive
X
9 - N
8 - R
7 - P

So, you just need to join the pin #3 to both switches on the manual gearbox and join each of the other wires to pin #8 and pin #9 on the auto loom, in correct order.

Hope this can be helpful.

thx mate. could you do me a favour and write up what I need to do the conversion? much appreciated

Well, i will swap all the bits from the March to the SuperS, so 2 cars will be stripped, maybe 2 weeks to do that swap... I can update this topic as i get it going?

i think you,ll find that the march loom (auto or manual) will be very different mate  (single plug instead of 3 for the clocks for example ?)

It seems to have 4 plugs. And there is no inhibit relay, its just a switch inside the auto gearbox, thats why the plug on the gearbox has thicker wires...

Hi Baguete,
I saw it was in 2011 but...
I'm just doing the manual conversion on my '97 March Cabrio (all mechanical is done, now I have to do the electrical).
I'm wondering if the 6-wires plug on the auto gear stick have to be modified to ?
And, is it useful to connect the neutral switch on the manual gearbox ? because the neutral is not used to start the engine I think... ?
