Stripping my K11 for parts soon, as it won't go through its MOT because of the sills and arches. Picking up a new car next week, so I need to make space for it. If you're interested in any of the parts, just PM me or comment on here, and I'll put your name down. I'm open to any offers, as I need the parts gone. Otherwise, the car will be scrapped with the parts on, as I don't have any storage space.

There are also loads of other little bits I can sell on, like the pre-facelift tailgate handle, gearknob, spoiler, any of the interior trims, etc. The only bits I won't be stripping will be the engine, any of the body panels, or the springs and dampers. I'm open to offers on anything else.

Apex springs and KYB dampers have already been sold outside of MSC, I'm only running chopped springs.

Check out the pics in my build thread (link in my signature) to view most of the parts on the car.

Yeah, a lot of this stuff is really awkward to post because of shape, size, and weight. The mani will just be really awkward to wrap up, hence why I'll only post small bits

Oh R-Reg

But yeah, I don't really have to break it up now, I want to get a 1.6 Civic, 200SX, or 323i towards the end of the year, hence why I'll be breaking this up then (Y)

I've put your name down Mike (Y)

No, I just won't have the time to fit one because I'll be working so many hours, and I want a bigger car anyway

I know Shaun, once a Micra fan and member of MSC, always a Micra fan. I'll get another one (most likely a 1.3) as a second car that I can work on once I get my own place. But I got an insurance quote for 52 plate BMW E46 325Ci M-Sport (180 bhp I think) of £500. Which is crazy, because I'll be a 21 year old male tooling around in a powerful Beemer . I do like them though, really want a car that I don't need to do anything to

Mike, the 1.3 is not slow, it's a hell of a lot quicker than my 1.0. I just want a bigger and even faster car

Purpleone - I've put your name down for the backbox and parcel shelf mate. Might consider selling those early if you throw in your stock backbox?

I may be interested in the Strut Brace, Momo Steering Wheel and Boss Kit If you do decide to Sell some parts of it (Y)

I'll put your name down for them mate, but bear in mind I won't be breaking my car up until September 17th, which is when the MOT runs out. See the above edit as well, regarding if I can get it through MOT

Yeah I'll throw in my stock back box and parcel shelf if you want

I would only need your backbox if I decide to sell early. Other than that, if I can't get it through the MOT, I will just break it down and scrap what I can't sell. But if I can scrape it though the MOT and have it for another year, I won't be selling anything. This is just to cover myself if it won't pass or if I can afford another car. See the original post for what I mean

yeah that's cool, i'm on holiday next week so i couldn't pick anything up early until mid august if you decide to sell anything in the first place :p thanks for putting my name down though (Y) be a shame if some decent parts went to scrap :p keep us informed (Y)

Sweet, will do :grinning:. I think the most important one to sell is the wheels, that will be a big chunk towards to my next car. Then just a case of stripping everything off that I possibly can, and flogging it on here or on eBay

Bump, still looking for anyone who might be interested in my alloys. Need to get a name down for them, am prepared to let them go for £350 and your wheels. Loads of other bits still available

you may aswell eBay my friend. :( why would you break your nice car!

Because it's ####ed. Sills are completely gone on both sides all the way down, and the rust on the arches is just crumbling apart. I'll get more breaking it up and scrapping the shell. And of course everyone on here gets first dibs on anything

:( does this mean your leaving or getting a k10 ;)

Don't worry Martin, I will be back :grinning:. My current situation just means that I can't afford to do the work my car needs, and my working hours means I won't have the time. I also can't afford to keep my motorbike and do the work that needs, so I'm selling the bike and splitting the car up. I should end up with enough money for a decent bigger car that doesn't need any work doing to it (still after an E36 BMW 3-series coupe). Then when my money and work situation is a bit better, and I have the space, I'll buy another Micra as a project car (Y)

just drop me a message if you want to change stuff early, would be more convenient for later but i can do earlier. definately come back(Y)

Haha, an old BMW. It may not cost you a lot of money up front, but maintaining it on the road will. Surely you aware of BMW and reliablilty?

Thats not a dig btw, just saing that it will probs cost more than modding the micra

I'm not 100% sure if it's going to be an E36 yet, might go for the next model up, E46 I think. But I know a few people who work on BMWs, and I know a bit myself. So it shouldn't be any more expensive, just that parts might be a bit pricey. But it's not going to be modded apart from wheels and exhaust system though. Plus I've always wanted one

It probably will be later, most likely the end of August, or at least long enough for me to get a name down for the wheels as well. And I will definitely come back - just need money, time, and space to get another project together. I'll use the BMW as my main car

I promise you, 2 maybe 3 weeks of Beemer ownership and you'll want to go jap, seriously dude they are so boring, and I'm guessing you won't be getting a 330ci or an M3 as they're the only ones I'd bother with! Seriously stay jap or you will regret it, I've been there and done that! I'd never buy anything but jap anymore

I will either be getting an E36 M3 or 328i, or an E46 330Ci

I've already thought ahead there Martin, insurance for me on an old shape 328i is cheaper than the insurance for an R32 or an R33. 328i is £700 in one go, R32 is well over £1000. Plus I don't have enough money to get a decent Skyline, most of the ones I've seen are big money

Mainly because they're #### though, there quite allot slower than the cc would suggest plus there mega expensive to run the older ones are awful a Mate of mine would be lucky to get 18mpg!!
A skyline gtst is full of win or even join me in the s body world! Much better community and less knobs than mein fuerer

But even the insurance for a new shape 325Ci or 330Ci is £100/£200 less than the old shape, and a decent low mileage one will set me back about £1500/£2000. My dad also had a 325Ci M Sport, and it was incredibly fast - also had good fuel economy. My mum has also had an old shape 325i convertible, and while that was slower than the newer 325, it was still quite quick. Yes, the fuel economy wasn't good, but it was high mileage. I've seen a few with low mileage, which wouldn't be so bad

It's your money matey, sounds like you come from a Beemer background hence your bias toward them, I'm not from any background my parents have followed me into the jap world, mum had peugeots now has a civic! Me and my dad both got into jap stuff at the same time, I've had 316,328,330,540 each I enjoyed for a few weeks then the novelty ran out and the germaness started to do my head in there's no love in it for me! Granted most jap stuff is a sea of black and grey plastic but there's a sort of passion that comes with it that makes you love it even when it breaks! At least they're generally allot cheaper to fix!

My dad has always owned BMWs (both cars and motorbikes), my mum has had 5, we have quite a few mates who work for BMW (hence why I can get one for not too much money - we get good deals, especially on servicing and parts), and I've driven a couple before. I just really enjoy their understatedness - most would say they're not much to look at, even boring. But as soon as you put your foot down (provided you have the 2.5 litre straight-6 or more, they just pull and pull and pull. I know that if something goes wrong, it's going to be an expensive fix. But that doesn't bother me, I'm earning the money from my new job to be able to afford it, and I can learn to do most of the work myself

From personal experience I can disagree with most of that mate
Bmws are most certainly not bought for they're understatedness quite the opposite they're bought as a sort of status symbol to show others your doing quite well for yourself! It's funny how many people I've talked to have said to me "your alright....for a bimmer driver" I don't feel there's enough difference between any of them interior wise apart from ones with I-drive it's the first thing that's changed with a BMW interior in the last 40 years! The majority of BMW drivers I've noticed can't help but mention they drive one in most conversations even if your not talking about cars!
