Finally replaced my filthy air filter. Anyone know if an abnormally dirty filter could cause the same symptoms as having an overly rich fuel mixture?

knocked up another hybrid clutch assy (half 1.0 and half 1.3) because the little 160mm ones will only transmit upto 100hp, and the previous hybrid one that i fitted a few days ago is slightly rubbing against the cover when the clutch is down fwn

Undersealed 3 archs, painted drums and sanded down the caliper back to the normal metal. :D 1 more arch left. :(

Cant wait to be fully down with it and stop faffing on with it.

today i cursed my idea of cheap 14" renault steels as the rears scrub on bumpy corners and scare the sheet out of me :glare:

rear arch rolling is next on the list

Have you got more info on this clutch? Are you using cg10 box and flywheel?

Could I make one to fit my car? I have a feeling my clutch will poop itself when I finish the hi compression motor and have it tuned!

Although is it better to destroy clutches so that the boxes survive better? The are about same price lol

i ground the heads off the rivets and swapped the spline/spring middle bit over kev, but you have to bevel the outer face tho (180mm against the f/w and 170mm against the cover face)
the one that i fitted to this current high comp 1.0 is catching the cover a bit tho, so this new cover was dismantled and i ground a bevel inside it for more clearance

found out what the scraping noise was when the clutch was down...... i,d machined too much from the f/w face and the springs and rivets were kissing the f/w bolts

lol, i cheat martin :wasntme: i have no brackets from the sump to the g/box (just the 4 bellhousing bolts) and no bracket under the inlet mani (so i dont have to unpick the alt and earths loom) the battery is next to the ecu (relocated) the starter motor and clutch cable are left on, the bumper is a 2 minute remove, the front mount is removed :grinning:

gave her a wash and wish we d havnt moved last week otherwise id had the flowed manifold on this weekend and dry soliders resoildered etc etc etc

Got my summer tires fitted. 195/45-15 Uniroyal Rainsport2 on some MAK 5-spoke 7j-15´s. Looks sweeet ! (Y) Though the alloys could use a refurb, but to be expected, only paid £40 for the alloys. Actually very good condition, price considerated. No major curb damage, and they are straight. Uhh.... Also put on "Hello Kitty" valve caps. :p

Decided to go to a local meet...weather was sunny, car was clean and had a chat to some people ive never seen before nor know by name, while also looking over some other cars.

The car got a good response, lots of "i cant believe thats a micra" from the newer people haha...seems like it may have shifted opinions.

removed the baffle on my airbox inlet pipe and replaced it with an additional inlet tube straight to the front of the engine bay, made a hell of a difference, it can now pull like crazy from 40 in 4th :grinning::grinning:

Had a really good drive down one of the best roads I've ever found, then developed a knocking sound on the drivers side  this ruddy car is falling to pieces I swear

Just fixed the air con, compressor and air con fan wern't working, fuses relays etc fine, checked system, no pressure, so bought a recharge kit from halfords, job done and after about ten minutes compressor and fan working fine and icy cold, well pleased.
