Hi

Thanks Pete I started this post this morning and ran out of time before I could figure out and get the pictures bigger.

This is the Micra the BTRDA ( http://www.btrda.com ) is using to promote Motorsport at the grass route levels with their Motorsports Futures group. It will be competing in Auto Solos and production Trails. When the Motorsport Futures group first started out with this Micra it was bogg standard to prove that anyone can get involve in grass routes motorsport.
We got involved with the car at the start of 2009 and ended up doing a lot of work to keep the car on the road with replacement engines and gear boxes to name just a few things we had to do. This year we have fitted a SPAX sports suspension kit with 50mm Lowering springs, strut brace and some 13" alloy wheels to help it look the part.

She is tucked way waiting to have the replacment engine run in, hopefully over the next few weeks then it's having a few more mod's on the fuel system and induction system before a session on the rolling road. I could do with a few weekends free from other jobs to get this all sorted.

I would just like to congratulate Jon Steer for completing his third rally and his first proper gravel Rally, The Plains. Just to prove how good the Micra is and that you can compete with bigger and more expensive cars. Jon has a pretty basic F1000 Micra with over 150K on the clock. He set out to do the Plains rally by driving his car from Wiltshire to Wales, competing on the event WITHOUT a service crew and then drove home, no trailer to fall back on should anything go wrong. Not only did Jon finish the event he finished 106 overall out of 112 finishers and he was not the last Micra home.

Well done Jon ...
