No not yet, I am trying to get it back on the road, but if I get enough interest I might pull it apart.

What's that like to drive? Definately looks like it could do with raising that rev limit!

Craig

The pectel ECU will deal with problem and give a few more bhp so I hope to get it up to the 115bhp without the bike carbs.

To drive its a bit##! LHD and dogbox, its all on or nothing, and the set up on the suspension isnt right yet, tracking needs doing, but its quick!

NOOO! You went to SCA! *cough* Major Rip Off*cough*

Any who...awesome results!

Was good meeting you the other night too! The blue/white K11 looks awesome!

Good to meet you too the other night,

SCA, its who you know not what you know, I paid half what you did for your one mate!

whats the exact specs of the engine is it anything like mine give me a rough idea on power

in my blog the spec is on the first pages take a look.

only said 110 cos its about the same spec as most of matt's stage rally cars. and theyre all between 110-120 bhp.

good guess though.. and good graph too.

Cheers mate, and cheers Frank, I hope more to come!!!! Looking forward to getting the bike carb set up on! Videos will be on later.

nope they are much, much heavier! Ask niki and nex, they both agree that they are only about as quick as a 1.0 k11 because of all the weight.

Man, March Cabs are sloooooow! I've found mine to feel slower than my old 1.0 LX when accelerating - it's the painful kind of accelerating, as in straining to haul the weight, not running out of puff. I still love her though :)

k6pfs - please, let us know - I am intrigued about the gold Micra's mod! :D

Right I got some photos last night of the gold micra, my new edition!

The mod as I said is pictured below, it can be used for the following;
Ram raid's,
Mad Max movies,
pushing anything!

The real point of it is for the car to be tow'd behind a motor home! as this bar hitch's up to a motorhome. Mental

And as promised here is the Video of my rally car on the rollers yesterday!

http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=9074526532390595469

seriously now. my bog standard CG13DE revs higher than that. and sounds a lot more beafy too.. well more induction noise anyway. theres some better performance available with that engine if you raise the limiter to 7500 or even 8000rpm.
if you are running the piper 772 cams or anything near them maximum power wont come in until around the 6000rpm mark. and will continue through 7000 so limiting it to 6350 is only going to hurt it.

but its looking good there. im seriously considering painting mine in NME blue.

Hi mate, it is running a bog standard ECU at the minute, you can hear it hit the limiter. The Pectel ECU and mapping will sort all of the problems out I hope, its running very rich.
They are the 773 cams, and I hope to run up to 8500rpm.

Graphics soon, I hope,

I found out today that my back box on this car is knackered! its all fell to bits inside! so I am going to get it fixed then back on the rollers!

Hopefully we can get this Pectel sorted, I have different people telling me different things?

Really? That's annoying. They drop straight into a pre-NATS car, as I ran one in mine years back, however with a NATS equipped car it's a different matter, as the looms are different and will require some modifications. However a pre-NATS ecu wouldn't run in Mikes old NME car, (which had NATS when new and was modified to work with the Pectel).....as we tried to get it going on one when the original Pectel failed :( I cannot offer any advice at all unfortunately.

I don't know if Peter Vaughan has a wiring diagram for the Pectel, to see what the differences are.......has Matt Humphris been able to help at all?

i havent spoken to either about it to be honest, I was hoping it would be a simple fix! Nothing is.....

Do you know what mod is need?

Im going to try the Pectel ecu on my other rally car which has a pectel system at the weekend so hopefully that will mean the ecu is fine!

Just trying to get it going with it!

Quick update,
I have put an entry in for this weekends Stage rally ran by my local club. See the events bit looking for marshals everyone welcome no spectators the only way to watch is to be a marshal!
So the red car is out on Sunday

The blue car is on ebay and on racecarforsale.net looking for £9995ono so I think it will sell to someone in europe, already had two people interested one in Portugal one in Poland, but will wait and see.

Will get some photos and hopefully in car footage of the rally up soon as I am running with a cam in the car (hopefully)!!!!

Be a shame to see it go. Do think you'll get a run in it before it goes?

Good luck with sunday!!

No I wont be using it before it goes, in case I damage it!

Yesterday was good and bad.

The Good the car was going great, second in class up to stage 4 out of 8 and then we got a punture(we didnt run with a spare wheel) went over time limit so re-started the rally on stage 5 under the trophy rules, (still running with no spare) got another punture but drove on the rim this time to the finish and got a stage max time of about 20minutes.
Started stage six with a spare:wasntme: and the next two stages ok, but the tyres I used didnt cope with it being so tough so the grip was poor and the car just didnt handle well.
Stage 8 last one we went over a jump on a corner going slight right and we got another punctue and this sent us off into an electric fence! About 1/2 mile from the finish, everything was ok just a little trip into the field so just drove on the rim again, couldnt be bothered to change it!

So 90miles of rallying the car did well, the tyres didnt! They do say it happens in threes.

Another micra was out a F1000 one and they did really well. (Y)

I'll try and get some photos soon of it.

As I said I dont think I will be breaking it, I am looking to use it for motorsport its a lot lighter than uk models, plastic headlights for example! so the lighter the car the quicker it should go.

Here are the photos of my blue one now its finished! Gutted I havent rallied it yet, but it has to go! Its on ebay now!!!!(Y)

Interesting, where did you get the paint code for that? I've thought about doing mine the inverse to waht you have, it is a tasty colour in the paint :)

Craig

Well I havent been on for a while but I have been busy, more photos to come tomorrow, some of you might have seen that both cars have been on ebay but no takers.

The stuff I have been doing on the red car is stipping it to be a full stage rally car rather than a road rally car, pics below are of it now. i will post one tomorrow of all the stuff we took out of it. And the video at the bottom which I hope will interest all of you is the bike carbs set up on the car!!!!!! Rolling road soon to see the bhp!!!!

Cheers mate, I am really happy with both cars at the minute!

What did you think of the video above of the red one with the bike carbs on?

haha, its almost as stripped out as my car now..lol

thos carbs sound like they are being choked by something. have they been setup yet or are they "as is"??

They are "as is" they havent been set up yet and we need to get it on the rollers too.

Yes stripped out lots of weight saved now so hope its going to be a lot quicker now!!!

Hi all,
Sorry I havent been on for ages but ive been mad busy, here is a pic of the red micra as it is, still have a lot to do but its now totally changed to what it was the bike carbs are running great, I think within the next two weeks, we should have them on the rolling road, but we have done so much more to the car! I'll take more photos later but for the time being here it is!

Last weekend Chris and I went along to a track day to help a junior F1000 rally driver, 16yrs old and already a very good driver! I took some photos, on the track day one other juniors rally driver was there in his red facelift k11, their next event is 21June at Caerwent so hope they do well! I hope to get along to the rally.

Here are the photos of the day!

I have taken some photos of the car as it is now, all inside stripped out so it will be super light, vented front discs and the bike carb set up!

The other photos below are of the work that we are currently doing to the rally car above! As you can see full strip and rebuild of front and rear suspension! And making it as light as possible within the rules, the strut brace is one of ours that we are now producing!
The final photos are of my nissan march which we are going to build into a Jnr / F1000 rally car for hire!!!!

AP front calipers and discs,
Dogbox,
Ultra light fly wheel,
rear disc axel,
so a lot to do!
This is how its looking now hope you like the photos!

The blue car I am now hanging on too, but I am making back to F1000 standard, so its will be up for hire! Anyone fancy a go at rallying in this car??? see the photos!!

What exhaust are you using on the J1000 car?

All car's are looking mint!!

The exhaust is our own one! not ashley, not janspeed! its our own hand made one, now we have the the jig set up we can make lots, so if you want one pm me!

Get import plates on the march and put a red bulb in the right reversing light for the fog instead of the horrible bolt on thing.

Hi all,

We took the car that we are building to hire out to an autotest last night. Great weather about 20 cars took part at our local race venue! Here are some of the photos of the of us in action with the car, as you can see 100% action with Chris getting on two wheels.

It was a mix of grass and tarmac tests and we did four each.

jesus did he tip it over and any news on the quad throttle bodies mate

Hi Mattjo and jim_bling,

No the car didnt tip over, just held it on two wheels! We posted some of the fastest time of the night in a 1litre micra!

The red micra with the throttle bodies is still being built, we are putting a disc rear beam on it, so it should be ready for rallying in August to do the S1000 rally and the RB rally!
The blue one we are building into an F1000 car for hire and the F1000 championship.

Looking good, lucky you didnt roll a freshly built march eh ? :grinning:

:wasntme: VERY lucky!!!! It got very competitive with Chirs and I trading seconds against each other!

I'll let you know when the next one is if you like, it would be good for you to get more practice behind the wheel, its on private land and its fun!
