Engine stalled yesterday while driving...

Just stalled!

What could it be? Throttle body sensor or TB itself?

This month the fuel tank has been sounding like a tank with water in it... you can hear the fuel tip from side to side and swish about... so is this a seperate problem or could it be the cause? Some kind of loss of pressure?

In all my micra years my micra has never stalled! Why meeeeeeeeeeee?? Right in a blasted dual-carriage way as well.

How did it stall - were you slowing up to a stop?
It sounds like a TB prob, but I wasn't aware that the later bodies were susceptible to dodgy MAF/solder - did it start again fine after?

Yeh Craig I had just slowed down but I was stationary waiting at a give way line... then it just cut out... There is only one way to find out I guess... a trip to the garage...

Haha, dont worry about it. If it happens again then I would start to look into it. If there is a real problem the ecu warning light will come on. (its on the dash)

you evil burks! I hope all your throttle bodys die a quick and painful death!!! :suspect:

guys I found the cause... it wasnt the windscreen wash spray nozzle.. pretty close.. it was the wiper!! yeh the right one as well!!!

no seriously just hooked it up to a computer now... its the TB and I wonder why the TB would go at 25k miles, premature wear and tear?... so anyway, Ed (I named it after my Guru) basically cuts out now and then... and lacks power... quite hesistant like it wants to stop... and is about to give up..

my God its late.. early start tomorrow... cheers cya

it did it again yesterday... and this time we hooked up the comp to the gbox... the gbox was near dry... it has had a slow leak... this meant the electronic comps and sensors shut down the car to prevent wear and tear... so topped up the cvt fluid but this time the leak was worse... have a spare gbox laying around... will put that in... tb sorted... gbox will done by end of day wahay!
