Hey all thought i'd start our blog now seeming we have started progressing the project quite well now.

I bought the car back in september as a learner car seeming the insurance was cheap. I original intended to keep it until i passed me test then i wouls sell it and get a corsa or something to do up.

Since then i feel in love with the car and about a month ago fitted an air filter, a cheap cd player and some 6x9's all with some help from Jackassuk, well mainly him lol.

Anyway heres a photo of the car before:

Car1.jpg

Heres a pic of the rear parcel shelf now covered in red :D Oh the bumper handles missing as its being colour coded ;)

Car2.JPG

And a pic of the exhaust tip (can;t afford system yet)

And finally started the colour coding tonight and handles are next :D

NEXT:

Lowering + Panhood bar,
Forced Induction
De-cat

So watch this space and i'll hopefully see you at some meets :D

Yeah cheers for that Jas,

Anyway today i got to finish grill and finish colour coding.

Also the bonnet is going to be painted and i have another little plan for it. I'm currently doing mods that are ether free or cost very little.

I should be getting some lowering springs at the weekend and then just to finish the bar i need. Just a question can;t you modify the existing panhood bar thats on there or not?

I know you all start panicking when i post but this one will surprise you a tiny bit.

After taking a clout on the side yesterday i decided it was time to repaint the entire car but before i do so i am going to do the following,

1) De-lock and de-handle the entire car, (door poppers and central locking), Remote engine start and alarm all in one system with one keyfob :D

2) Smooth out the bumpers

3) Clean the engine bay thoroughly

4) Plate over the 2 reg plate areas and smooth out and also remove rear boot handle

5) Relocate the number plates ( 2 square ones)

6) Fit davey c's old side skirts when he strips the car!

7) Sort bonnet and remove all dents and scratched on car

8) Sort exhaust out ( currently at a weird angle, mould back bumper around it.

9) Extend bonnet ridges to hide gaps in between lights

10) Remove aerial and smooth over

11) Choose a colour for the paint! and get it done properly :D

Anyway should look nice i'll try get some photochop pics up in the enxt few days.

all this work but no alloys? it will look abit odd....if i was you before i worried about re-spraying the car i would buy some decent alloy wheels, otherwise its not worth doing all this (smoothing bits) once the car is re-painted it will look pants on steelies.... just my opion :)

That centre console looks great - had given me ideas! What sort of paint do you use on the plastic? And do you have to sand it down first? Not sure about the de-badging thing though..mine's proud to have a Nissan badge on its arse!

you need to sand it down with wet and dry.

Then you need to use plastic primer.

then you need to give it a couple coats of paint .

then you need to give it a coat of clear coat if you want to.

its easy to remove the centre console. (k11 that is)

4 screws 2 either side of the ash tray. (remove the ash tray by pushing the metal flap at the top of it down.)

and 2 screws under the control knobs.

then pull.
