Super S tacho not functioning?

Hey peoples,

Im fairly sure I have a Super S tacho in the car I've just bought. Sad thing is the everything functions fine except for the Tachometer.

Does anyone know a fix for the problem? I would really like to get it working.

Is it a series 1 or 2?
The series 2s (well mine anyway) did not have a wire in the loom to activate the tacho. We (620racer and I) had to run a seperate wire, then it was sweet

Ah I see, Its a 97 micra.. No idea series 1 or 2 however the bonnet is seperate from the grill if that helps.

I assume you run the tacho signal from the ecu? could you supply the pin number and also what pin it is meant to go into on the dash?

Did you buy this Micra of Anthony from Dahtone racing? if so, that is my old Super S cluster, anthony did not set it up in his car, but wanted it anyway.

It stopped working in mine for some stupid reason, i think it will need repair.

Anyways maybe its cheaper just to buy a second tacho.

I'm not willing to sell mine anyway, it comes in handy

have a look on yahoo japan, there are normally a few on there, pretty cheap too.

Figured if its up for sale you'd be happy to sell of some parts! Anyway that aside ill just fibreglass one. Easy as pie! Lots of effort though lol.
