speedo issue

hey everyone, my cig lighter wasn't working due to it not being wired up, so whilst wiring it up i touched something behind the dash with a wire which sparked, (proper amateur mistake) so now my speedo/revs/fuel and water temp doesnt work, but it still lights up and the signals work, can anyone help

I imagine there'll be a fuse that's blown. Check those first

DEFANTLY A FUSE BLOWN IN MAIN CIRCUIT...DO A BIT OF MESSIN AROUND ITS A SIMPLE JOB..THEN GO LOCAL SCRAPPIE THE GIVE U FUSES FOR F**K ALL..

thanks for the replys, ive checked all the fuses on the right hand side of the steering wheel they all look fine.

hi everyone, ive just got back from scotland ive checked all the fuses and still nothing, ive even put the spare dash/speedo in and that doesnt work either???

I did this, i know its odd but mine was actually the interior light fuse, i think its all the way to the left at the bottom of the fuse box you will have to check on the panel though,
Has it also stopped your interior light and stereo?
IIRC its a red 10amp fuse

nope stereo n lights are working but ill have another look, im gonna borrow my gfs speedo to see if i have 2 knackered ones.

hm odd might aswell try changing the speedo with one you have seen working before you unplug it..

just an update i wiggled stuff about doubled checked the fuses nothing changed and now its working... strange car.
