outside handle removal for painting?

The k11 I bought recently has black bump strips and door handles etc and I was looking to colour code them. The rest of the car is marine green so I was just looking to smooth them in

I was fiddling with the handle to see if I could pop the handle off but they're already a little flimsy (IMHO) so didn't want to pull to hard before I snapped it off.

Is there a guide to getting them off? I don't have my Haynes manual yet as it hasn't come in the post lol

Two nuts accessed from the inside of the door bud. Door card off job.

Just be careful with the connecting rod that attaches the handle to the door latch. Mine fell into the door cavity and took some time fishing it out, then even longer trying to get it reseated.
