Looking for advice in dismantling K10 (Ignition)

Hi,
i would be more than grateful if someone could advise me.......I have a 1989 gsx which i am dismantling at the moment.I have a buyer for my set of locks,...but i am having trouble removing the ignition barrel.:doh:
The housing is attached firmly to the steering column,should this come away?.I am guessing that the actual barrel should slide out ,but i am having difficulties .Do i press in the two the two small pins to release it..?...cos' they dont fancy budging,or am i just too weak:grinning:

the only way to get the ignition barrel off, is by taking a drill to the 2 bolts that hold it on to the steering column.

get a hammer and punch on the two bolts, or drill carefully

dont bother!

just change the whole steering column, 5 bolts and its off!
