Interior trim painting

Sand it down a little bit, and then you can buy plastic primer, which bites into the plastic so the paint has something better to grip to then fire away with whatever colour you want. That's how I would do mine
 
if I was doing it I'd go for something like 800-1000grit as your not removing paint or anything just roughing it up to allow the primer a better grip
 
Also if ou want to get rid of the fake leather finish you can use a high build primer and then wetsand it with 800 till smooth then paint with light coats. Itll come out nice n shiney
