car stereo upgrade

I just upgraded my car stereo with a amp,now I was wondering if anybody has had this problem,lights dim when bass turned up,was thinking new alternator with more output,has anybody done this and point me in the right direction and tell me what size alternator can be put on my car it's a 1.0e model 2003,

Mine did the same,turned out it wad battery needed changing.

Ok I was going to change this,for a bigger one look like the original one still on it,thanks

Yuassa are great for high power batts,forgot the brand i went for inbthe end,but havent had probs with mine since

I'm running sub, amp, and in car DVD.. I had to change the battery to bigger AMPs.
