brake caliper dust seal

Hello can anyone tell me the best way to replace a dust seal on my brake caliper ? Am at the moment trying to replace the old one wich am finding difficult to do so I have sent off for a new one wich am hoping will be easier but just wanting to know the best way of replaceing it

the front caliper ? seal is held in by the piston, you have to pump the piston out to get at it

I have managed to get piston out and removed dust seal I just cant manage to replace it again is because am using the old seal and should I buy a new one

if the seating groove is rusty ? you have to scrape it clean to get the rubber lip back in, and there,s a knack to pulling the boot back over the piston (ball tipped coat hanger hook does the job )
