Hey all, wifes just borrowed my car and said she will put some fuel in it. She's only gone and put BP Ultimate in it.

Will this affect the engine or be a good thing?

Should supposedly be more fuel efficient and give better power results... Always run it on the rally car, it's meant to be more clean too. No idea.

I don't see more noticeable miles but on the bike it makes it a lot smoother.

Won't make any difference. Up the compression, then it'll make a slight difference (hence Paul's bike running smoother)

Lol thanks for the replies. Unfortunately as stated, it did nothing to performance proving it's just a money making myth. And for 10p a litre more too.

Luckily it was her bank and not mine lol

Normally needs a couple of tanks ran through to see a difference, but it will improve MPG and burn more cleanly

Unlikely to be enough to warrant the 10p+ a litre more.

I've run it for about 3 weeks and I notice nothing.

Yeah I doubt it warrants the extra.
But for cars like mine it's worth it as they're used so little and every hp counts, although the big hp gains are shown mainly in turbocharged cars or other big horse power cars

I always use BP Ultimate since using I get 30+ more miles to the tank and it has seemed to smooth out the torque of the car. It pulls better imo.
