Weight is bad...Lose it!
Haha, I'm sure I speak for the whole city when I say Phew!its okay ill put some pants on.... :P![]()
bit off a delay since i last udated but thats because the last few bits are the most expencive... like 1 a month on my wage!! so this is what £900 gets you in terms of engine managment systems a full stand alone DTA ECU on to the pics!! :-
this removes the normal rotor with direct fore ignition :-
had to re-wire the normal throotle pot :-
the biggest thing is how do you mount a toothed crank wheel onto the SR20 pully?
you remove the Water pump and power stering bit of it!
allowing the wheel to sit like this (its going to be fixed as son as iv got the positions of the sensor sorted :-
i could put pictures of all the plug ends for the other sensors lol but im sure youve seen those before...
and to finish a few screen shots of the Softwhere :-
Real time info :-
dyno mapping screen:-
System check :-
ignition and fuel maps (these are notmine just demo ones) :-
bring on next month paycheque!!
13k rpm redline? tad optomistic![]()
like i said demo map :P but if you notice its only mapped to 10,00rpm anyway..
looking good man
holy crap that all looks so nice n will def b a good thing for the car
im so excited now to see the 1st video![]()
Very neat!!!![]()
fantastic stuff.![]()
had to make another mount/braket and tap the inlet for the air temp sensor...
you can see that with the distributer eremoved theres a nice hole for oil to come out of so i needed o block this as we as mount my new spark box, so i thought why make two things when 1 can do both:-
just need the cash to buy some bolts to hold the ign box on!! lol
very impressive stuff mate your obiously very good at what your doingkeep up the good work

mmmmmmmm thats gorgeous, cant wait to see the speed of it
SR20 is the begining of the engine code for a range of nissan engines
SR = the code for the range of the engine
20 = size of the engine IE 2.0 there are 18 (1.8) 16 (1.6) versions aswell
the full code is an SR20DE
D= double overhead cams
E= electronic fuel delivery (injection)
the SR20DE engines can be found in the almera GTi primear GT, SRI, the sunny GTi..
More information about the SR engine range here I believe:

also im fairly happy as a freinds manifold arrived today :- made in the US if anyone nhas any freinds want to buld really mega power cars IE 8sec B16's then send them my e-mail
![]()
this is a low end manifold for street use for a pulsar.. not for there drag spec kits. just to clear any confusion
thats some nice pipe work![]()
God that's some pretty metal!![]()
car started today![]()
Bet you are just itching to take it out for a drive.Originally Posted by Raceworx

Really like the progress your making with this and the car is really cool. Hopefully see it at a meet sometime.
how did it sound ian??
loud im guessing
have a listen

had my brake now im back in it got a week off work to get things cracking..
fabed up my boxed de-cat.. if the police do a spot check and look under the car then it looks like theres a cat on it.. its 3" internal diameter so itll flow alrightalso order 3" pipe for a side exit ill fab that up next weekend when im back at college. anyway some pics :-
![]()
your going for side exit? how come..any reason or just a personal pref. id have thought you would want to keep it in the std location especially with how low your car is gonna be. surely it will be lower to the road on a side exit.
decat lok very nice indeed![]()
its not realy that low.. im not having it as low as possible want ground clreaence and handeling really the centre of gravity is low anyway due to there being nothing of any significant mass above the centreline of the car anyway..
Thats gonna weigh less than a pube man! Class - sheer class.
LOL. cant wait to see it done. good luck mate.
OMG thats nice man, you haveto get the Front metal plate engraved with you guessed it 'Raceworx' ....what do you think?
lol nah a sticker can do for now man engraving sounds expencive :S maybe when it runs![]()
engraving is not really expensive, a jeweler round near me only charged me £2.50 to get a lighter engraved
yeah its cheap,,Originally Posted by 59 bhp is more than enough
send it to me mate ill get it done for you
well, get my mate at work to do me a favor
Nice work man, looks very neat.![]()
coming along very nicely indeed now.
that is mad, sounds nice! i so want to do a mental micra project again, its just the money! i want mikes shell with my lump!
Intersting to see this. Why did you go for DTA? I have used this in the past but from a userbility point of view I prefer Omex. Its not really needed on a project like this, ECCS is very flexible and not too surprisingly I can do 99% of what the DTA can do on the e-manage in about 1/10th the time. Good stuff though. Its nice to see something different. Just out of interest have you fitted a Cam sensor as well, or are you just going to use wasted spark and batch injection rather than MPI?

i used the DTA as i was fed up with messing with the nats system multiple SR20ECU's iv got 5 lying around 2 with rom bords in them non worked. i want to run TB's in the end so though sod it i can get a full DTA and loom for cheap aswell as have it mapped.. its batch firing wasted spark for now i can add to it if needs be.. i could have got an omex from the same guy he prefers the DTA for mapping and has had lots of sucsess with it.
