Hi matey Ive been thinking of this mod my self for a few years now, Im gonna do it when I sell my R except im gonna prob throw in 25 BHP of nos too.
I work for Middlehurst in the GTR section and Im willing to help you with any aspect of the job if you ever need it, although it looks pretty much like you know your stuff
Id like to know how you fitted the engine in place and when you get your shafts made up can you supply me a spec of the length etc so I could get sum made up for my K11 project.
Have you used a hybrid ALmera or Sunny front crossmember? also what hubs and suspension you using? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Ben Johnson

Speaking to one of the guys that rallies k11's. I've been informed that the fuel pump off the k11 is the same as the one used on primera's and that the only difference is that primera's use a more free flowing fuel filter.

well whilst im waiting to get info on the ECU i started to look at a cold air intake so purchased a setup for a 200SX of e-bay for £30 trouble is the top hat that was sent doesnt fit but were resolving that and i had to buy a nice 90deg bend but other than that looks a good fit and is right where the old cold air feed is!

Right OK...I found out the pins differences for you...!

    Almera GTI...
    CAM/CRANK Position Sensors...pins 31 & 40
    FUEL PUMP RELAY pin 106

    GTiR...
    CAM/CRANK Position Sensors pins 22 & 30
    FUEL PUMP RELAY pin 104

Swap these about and you should be good to go!

These are the only PIN differences between the 2 ECU's!

    Hope this helps!

    Engine mangment is now sorted

im getting a DTA full stand alone. with mapping and a loom for it for just under £1K.. cheap i know..the best thing is this guy is a specialist who works form his garage.. when i turned up he was making an RB26 inlet manifold using a veilside forged plenum... he was flow bench testing scooby heads for scooby clinics new drag car.. there were two RB26 heads lying there from RK tuning that were being developed by himslef.. he also does all the head work for whifbitz... so im in safe hands i think i wish i had half the guys knowledge!!

Also he got out a set of touring car SR20 spec sllid throttle assembiles from the aactual nissan touring car setup the inlet was running an 8 injector setup!!! iv not seen so much cumshot worthy stuff in a single garage!! aswell as a full cosworth flow bench.

    Det

Your Micra is looking fantastic, Its very neat and look almost factory IMO. Love the paint job on the rocker cover im very impressed mate. I have started to break my GTIR as I cant sell it lol, so its going to be a definate SR20 DET in a K11 but my K11 will be an old U0 series round about an N plate as theyre cheap as chips to get hold of.
I really could do with the info on how exactly you managed to fit the DE engine as there really isnt much difference in terms of the engine mountings locations they shoud be the same tapped holes in the blocks. I expect im going to have to cut out the bulkhead to accomodate the huge plenum on the reverse of the DET engine that isnt a problem though I will enjoy fabricating a new bulkhead.
Can you please Email me or PM me if your up for sharign your knowledge? Then I have every chance of getting this K11 Turbo to Santa Pod by possibly July 06. Thanks matey

    One word: Wow!

Impressive work mate, lots of shiny bits & as someone said, looks like it belongs. Hehe, the lost K11 special edition...

Look forward to seeing this beast up & running, but I'll have to move South if you're going to start naked driving round Sheffield!
