Anyone know who manufactures the airbags fitted the the K11 micras? I know its a rare feature on aussie delivered micras but someone must know. Seeing all the stories on takata airbags and knowing they are a big supplier to nissan I would rather disconnect mine if its from that company. Thanks :)

Wow old thread here. Turned out you can not replace the nylon bushes in the unit. If yours have become that chewed up that bits fell out I would say you will need to find a replacement one from the wreckers unless the clutch action is still ok.

Well after 14 odd years I think it's time to sell my micra. Now it's a hard decision believe it or not but then maybe no one will want her. Specs. 1997 micra. 172,000km's Mica Green in color. Rare Air bag and ice cold aircon still. 5 speed manual gearbox. Bad points are the paints clear coat...

Great work. My micra is also going to become a track car real soon after 15 years of loyal service. I can't bring myself to ever sell it so turning it into a track/targa car seems fitting and a bit of fun.

Never fitted glass before. Front passengers side window on a 2 door. Pulled the inside door card off but I am not sure if I need to remove more stuff like the rubber seal and outside metal trim parts. Also how to fit it eg wind the regulator half way down and fit in the glass then wind up to pop...

Sounds like you have the right one because they are taper plugs and are a bitch to remove.

I would not bother going turbo in this. Keep it as a fun cruiser. Also I think the color suits it well so I would not change it myself.

Not sure what the speedo drive hole looks like but on the aussie delivered micras they have two plugs. The bottom large plug to drain it and a smaller plug towards the top you use to fill it up. Be warned though the plugs are Tapered plugs and are a absolute bitch to get out and you might find...

I always do it from the top of the engine bay ok. I have a nice compact oil filter tool and the only hard part is fully tightening the new one up as you don't have much room to move your hands but it always work out fine.

Wow that sucks for NSM. Hope they fixed the issue for him. I got a genuine one easy (Maybe the last one around?) from the Nissan dealer I used to work for and cheap so guess I got lucky.

What a bunch of guys in crap cars who can hardly drift (Well cant drift going by the damage to there cars) Doing a few dumb stunts is great? Nar they suck. Maybe if there cars where not crashed junk and they did some really hard drifting and stunts id be impressed but they suck big time.
