Yes. Can only be that now tbh. The ones from the scrappies are a bit hit and miss. As I have found.

Frank, thanks very much,you saved me time there! Any suggestions as to where I can purchase a fully working tb? Better buying new maybe. Euro car parts are doing one for £160 ish I think.

Guys. Need to understand how to remove the above on a 1999 micra. Have the throttle body off the car. Unscrewed the connector. The 2 screws at the bottom of the tb are stubborn little gits. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm also trying to clean out the idle control valve properly here. Don't think I made a good job of it 1st tjme round as I couldn't get tbe screws off holding the electric connector! Tough buggers to get off!

Guys. The throttle has a flat spot at the start if acceleration even with doing the air filter start. Traced the loom as best I can and seems fine. Wiggled wires when running and there's no change. Starting to lose my hair here!

Tried all of the above Oliver. All fine in that respect. Code is always coming up with malfunction on MAF. This is the 3rd from the scrap yard! Thinking of just buying a new or reconditioned one now.
