Don't cut,just unplug at junction and unscrew sensor.

As questios are being fired. What affect does a faulty temp sensor have? and would the gauge going up to normal running temperature within 5 minutes indicate a fault,or is this common?

When you say down on power,what do you mean?.Does it hesitate under throttle or over rev and go nowhere....

The best thing to do with the weep holes on sills, is to hammer a screwdriver or equivalent object in to make a proper drain hole.Then depending on access,bore a hole in the inner back arch,where the sill tunnel is and pop a rubber grommet in.That's what i did with the Hilux.(Y)

A Sunday sounds good to me.Work Saturday and taking one off in the week is no go.Saying that,i have every sixth week off,so it may tie in. Its a good idea what ever you come up with.Never going to suit all.

After sitting around twiddling me thumbs,thought i would go out and look at a 1.4 auto advertised locally(17 miles). Trundled off and it seemed to be doing the same,then after about ten+ minutes it changed its mind and run correctly changing up as it should:doh: Did the round trip plus abit...

The plugs indicate that its running fine.Not rich or lean... Its more to do with lack of go.Does'nt seem to match gearing with revs.I am totally stumped,cause i would like to sort it but the misses wants me to take it back to the salesman and let him deal with it. How do i stand with getting my...

Did my dry joints a few months back,and all is well.Runs sweet!! I used standard plumbers silicone to reseal(still holding)just comes down to cleaning old off properly. Hope it works for you !
