    That's good advice, it was a problem on hydraulic PAS systems on full lock because it boiled the fluid. Don't worry so much about using full lock as fighting against the lock-stops or scrubbing the tyres when the car isn't moving.

    If they're only fitted to oil burners then it's probably to combat drive-by noise. It's one of the many homologation tests and diesels tend to make more noise than petrols at part-load.

    Bit of a PITA these, I had to do mine after I replaced the linkage on the wipers and fitted new blades because I had the cleanest wiper arms in the country and a smeary windscreen. The jets are stuck to the underside of the bonnet, so you can't do them with the bonnet open and if you do them...

    From what I understand you take the top off the dashboard, starting woth both doors open and doing something with the binnacle you peel the top of the dash off to get the radio out, the heater is then in there too. Mine sometimes stops blowing, the motor is fine it's just the s****y Nissan...

    Of course you could fit the headlight washer pump and connect it to your screen jets, that way you'd have scren jets that actually worked.

    I bought a generic OBDII reader for my DCi. Problem is that whilst OBDII is a legal requirement, all the codes that are generated by non-emissions faults are at a deeper level, so the OBDII might say no faults stored, but there are. E-Bay will have plenty to offer, I can't recomend any though.

    I disturbed mine when doing the alternator, total PITA of a job. It's quite possible it has come detached somehow and you'll notice it isn't the world's greatest piece of quality engineering.

    Mine's the asthmatic non-intercooled DCi but the senor(s) you seek are stuffed into the plastic tube that feeds air into the engine. IIRC mine has one jst downstream of the airbox reading the temp being fed intot he turbo, the other is in the plastic elbow between the turbo outlet and the EGR...

    K12 Aerial

    I did the same at a jet wash. The nut is in a recess well ahead of the light unit sadly, so the headlining needs to be dropped down. Visors out, handles etc then carefully lower it until you can get above it to remove the nut. I've left mine and stuck some wire in it.

    I'd plan on having to take the exhaust manifold off to get at the rusty bolts securing the turbo. You might also snap the downpipe bolts so get new ones for that too. From what I rmember it's easier to see with the EGR assembly off, so whilst you are at it plan on cleaning that out too, make...
