A strut brace mounted in the rear of the K11 via the pillow-rubber strut tops will do stuff all and will be for aesthetics only.
Even bracing a single bar between each wheel arch to the sheet metal will not do much. The K11's rear end gets its rigidity from the floorpan as that's where its...
Poor thing!
Such is the nature of cars though. The moment you don't drive them every day is when they start to deteriorate and cost you money.
Awesome that she lives though. Don't know why that car is so awesome....
Just get some good condition stock mounts, clean them with an acid wash and then fill with Sikaflex 225 if you want a bit firmer than standard or 255 if you want FIRM.
If you fill it properly the sikaflex will be there forever.
Cheaper than buying new mounts anyway. And it works.
You're over-thinking it. :P
The G4's are a cheap product. I'd put them in the bin. Along with the springs they came with.
KYB - what's this about not lasting as long in a lowered application? Nah, don't see that happening anymore. They're nothing special just a conventional high pressure twin...
And i still have moments where I miss my blue K11.
Regret letting it go. What a random, weird looking little car.
That's all.
Anyone know where it is these days?
make sure you use High tensile washers. mild or stainless steel will compress and you'll be in a spot of bother then. using washers to space them out is slightly dangerous to begin with lol. Make sure you torque up to factory spec and then a day or two later torque them up again as washers even...
hahaha ah, some good tips there for the young guys on the forum!!
I wish I'd started listening to my elders what seems like a long time ago now....but I guess it is our decisions and actions which make us who we are today.
if it is a CG10 or 13 then there's really only two things on the engine which could really cause a power issue in 1st and 2nd gears AFAIK
one is the distributor which has an integrated Coil and cam (crank) angle sensor both which are prone to heat related failure on the CG10 and CG13...
its not the car they're interested in when you are driving a Micra.
Only sure fire way of a successful pussy patrol is to have a very expensive car. chicks dig money.
Eh its what happens guys.
The cars are now very now cheap and available to pretty much anyone with any sort of income. Further compounding the issue due to being very easy on fuel more young people are interested in them and as a result of this you have people who sign up who are growing up in...
they're Black Racing, unknown model.
I grabbed them from an MX5.
took ages to find!
I'd love to buy it back but I have no need for a second vehicle at the moment.
there she is! Looks great still too :D
I miss this car. Properly regret selling this one...I think because I know that there's no way to replace a vehicle like it.
Not bad for a mass produced econobox really.
