....yes, im asking about amps again! fwn

I bought a sub and amp and I must admit it sounds lovely.

Someone local to me offered me an amp for a tenner, here is a link to it:

The Amp - It's the one on the right, even though there is no picture - http://www.motor-world.co.uk/show_prod.php?keywords=spla350&prod_id=2176

The question is, will this be alright to amp my front coaxials?

My Coaxials - http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/56.html

I know the amp looks sh*te but I'm not really bothered, it would just be temporary as it's only a tenner and I could easily flog it to a mate for that in a few months time.

Thanks for your time boys n girls!

Wouldn't be the greatest sound, but I don't see why you couldn't use it to drive co-ax's

Should be fine.........but I'm a bit concerned about the price?! A tenner........sure it isnt stolen property???

Hugh - why wouldn't it be the greatest sound?

Apparantly its been well used which is why there is such a low price.

I have almost 0 knowledge, so I had a look at the rms value of both, and the amp seems to be loads more than the coax's which is why I asked.

Thanks for your replies guys :)

your better off with more power in your amp than speakers- if you need to you can turn down the gain on the amp. will be ok.

The amp won't be built to the highest standards, will have the cheapest nastiest components, will most likely be very inefficient and have a poor signal to noise ratio.

Basically you gets what you pay for. But everyone has to start somewhere. My first kit was a mix of Jetsound and Longmill, many moons ago.

The SPLX Amps are crap and blow dead easy. Avoid imo.
