CD Player Dead - HELP!

I need help!! My CD player is showing the error message "wait 1 h" .

Unfortunately little fingers were playing round with the controls and managed to wipe out the code (OK - they were my fingers!!). The display now reads "wait 1 h" permanently. We've tried everything including disconnecting the battery for several hours - all to no avail.

I don't want to spend the £70 ish to get it re-programmed. Can anyone help me?

have you left the ignition on for 1 hour? as thats whats its asking to do

Would leaving the ignition on for 1hour not burn the coil out?

they dont have a coil and no it wont burn anything out

I think what Fordy means is that the radio needs to have power for 1 hour whether that be driving the car for an hour or whatever, because when you type the code in wrong a certain number of times, the stereo locks and you have to wait for an hour before it will allow you to retry entering a code.

I've now tried leaving the power on and indeed driving with the unit on for 2 hours continuously, but still no joy.......:down:

^if all other means have failed then I say... £60 new one... possibly with free fitting. I dunno about Nissan prices for fixing stereos but I'm guessing itd be quite dear. Get a quote and decide..
